- In short, make sure you have enough ammo to fully load all magazines for your pews and then some. If you only have a handful of magazines, make sure you have at least 10 rifle magazines and at least 5 or so handgun magazines. If you agree or disagree with anything I said please feel free to share below!

Nice Vid. 100+ 556 mags. 1 large duffle bag full of loaded mags 1300+, Also ammo cans full. Also not all kept in the same location. Plus chest rig & plate carrier.
Nicely done.
I'm S.A. Jackson with the ATF. Please send your location...
Dang, I need to up my game. I just bought my first AR like three weeks ago and I only have 6 mags. Fully loaded with green tips and fmj. Pmags are so cheap so I should be buying one or two with every paycheck.
I keep a lot of 115 fmjs with a couple thousand gold dots and HSTs.
556 is varied. About the same amount in the thousands of 55 grain vmax, 77 grain otm, 62 grain m885 and 55 grain m193.
I keep over 100+ AR15 mags loaded to go, color coordinated so I know what ammo is in them along with 70ish pistol mags in various bags, carriers, chest rigs, and belts.
If you can't buy the ammo, just buy a box every week. Most people can afford 1-2 boxes a week. If you go out and shoot, replace what you shoot.
@@2amichaelj good idea!
Great video Good topic and information was super helpful 👍. Here's a quick cheap tip a .50cal ammo can holds 17 AR-15 mags loaded that's 490-510 rounds in a quick grab and go handy container that is water sealed.
great info with this video, nice seeing other people with different viewpoints and shining light on preparedness!

I don't know you, but I saw Kimchi and guns, and I'm in brother!
@@dhpat805 aye! Thanks man.
I keep a thousand cheap fmj, a thousand Winchester White Box jhp, and 250 Gold Dots for 9mm. I keep a crapton of M193 for my AR and a few each for my other guns.
Solid work
@kimchicowboy5053 it's an honest living.
All I train with is monarch 556 & 9mm. Like it way better than most training ammo
@@rytacarms copperhead allowing steel yet?
@ that was the old stuff they made, typically said lacquer coated.
They now make non steel core…
All their 223/556 is good to go and so is the 9mm - it says steel on one of the 9mm but it’s just the shell casing.
10$ per box for steel case and 13$ per brass case
Sri’s checked me twice at check in and on the long range
@ oh good to know! Haven’t been back to copperhead in a minute. Haven’t even seen their new tac bays. Just can’t justify that price anymore. Where we go now is 80 for the entire month and range is open 24/7.
@@rytacarms and it’s usually the cheapest. Love just being able to order online and go pick up.
@@NubsShoots see you know 🫡
6:42 great point I learned this as well! Plan those drills. Saves time and ammo for sure!
@@NubsShoots yes, probably one of the most valuable Things I learned. Saved lots of time and money!
I understand collectors but on the same note I think a good 14.5 rifle to take you out to distance and able to use it up close and maybe a backup is good enough at least for me. With a heavy dmr or bolt gun and pistol
@@dukedynasty agree, one of my 16” keeps changing cause I wanted to do longer range and then I cheaped out on a strike eagle lpvo. Need to get a better optic.
I personally just try to keep 1 type of ammo per gun. Don't want to be trying to pick the right one at the time. range ammo will kill anybody. To get through a battle, you need to have several mags loaded, but to survive a society collapse, that is totally different. You need to be able to survive many gun battles. How much that is depends on where you live and how good of a shot you are under pressure. Are you the type that can go to the range and hit bullseyes but in a real battle you hide from their shots while sticking your gun in the air and firing away? It takes courage to actually fight.
So, if you've never been in a gun fight, then how do you know? Can you jump out of a plane? Can you tackle a bear or mountain lion to save your son? Can you attempt to ski down a mountain without any lesions? Can you go buy a motorcycle and ride it home without ever riding one before? Things like these sound stupid and some may be, but it takes courage to do them. If you don't have that kind of courage, you aren't going to hit much in a gun fight. This is the reason why 80% of shots fired by cops don't hit their target and they get lots of training.
If you can't jump out of a plane, you might as well not waste your money on ammo. The guy who is going to win a gun battle is the guy who can crawl out of a car window while it's going down the freeway at 70 mph and onto the hood, then wave at other cars as his driver speeds up to 100 mph.

True shot is local to me. Get my ammo by the case there. And SG ammo when I want ammo for my only mil surp.
Awesome!
@ question for you I have my belt set up. Blue alpha belt with SeaTac mag pouches and dump pouch with safariland holster. I have around 20 AR-15 mags. I've gone through two chest rigs because I simply don't take them to the range and train with them I do with my belt. What would you recommend for a simple chest rig?
@@rico989 totally get that. I rarely use my chest rig but keep it because one day I may need it. Use the plate carrier way more. But, I have the Haley Strategic Micro with flat pack. Small, can swap out front panel for other Velcro stuff etc. can find them used online / forums for a couple hundred.
@ got it thank you! I've seen that one before might get it to throw in my bag. Thank you!
Imagine a whole city evacuating and hitting the road with maybe 1 in 20 having a gun with 9 in the mag = 100,000 bullets to fire back at you when they come for your food ...Just saying ...
Best to know when to run rather than make it a personal " Custer's last stand " ...
@SaintsofAvalon think making contact is last resort unless you have a group with superior fire power. Hence also the long range engagement. I’d bet money a lot of people in this scenario wouldn’t have practice shots out to 500+ yards effectively.
@@kimchicowboy5053 And 10 seconds latter as they run at your position it's down to 400 yds , another 10 seconds and it's down to 300 yds - 30 seconds and 2 mags latter they are upon you at ZERO yds and your down to a 1911 or whatever you shoot to go close quarter as they swarm all over you . Don't dream your way out of it ever happening , maybe look at the scenarios that played out in Vietnam .
Headquarters over run that had the best of the best defending them and you think you have a chance ! ...
