this is nonsense explanation. the differential is how far the pressure should be down to get the motor "on" again which should be Range-differential value. in this case the pump will get on (Range is set 2 bar - Diffe 1.5 = 0.5 bar) so the motor will get "on" below 0.5 bar and once the pressure reached 2 bar, the motor will get "off". another example is if we keep the range at 7 bar and differential at 1 bar, the motor will get off when the pressure in above 7 bar and get on when the pressure goes below 6 bar (which is 7-1=6 bar)
