I’m surprised this received a 7 after so much praise. In any case, yeah, it’s a treat for anyone who enjoys Metroidvanias. The gorgeous artwork is pure eye candy, and it mixes up the usual MV formula just enough with swimming instead of platforming and your sidekick/remote controlled javelin. It does not reinvent the wheel, but it is flashy and fun.
On Steam since 2021, apparently. Not just a Switch release. And Steam Deck verified, no less. =D

Even though i hate twin stick shooters, pronty is such a good metroidvania in it's map design and ability gating. Exploring the map is more fun than fighting enemies or bosses, and the visuals are superb
The combat is original and has remained fresh so far throughout my playthru, which is at 50%. The main thing needed to keep it fresh is to continue experimenting with your new abilities and changing up your chips on the memory board to find new and fun combat strategies. This is especially important for taking down the bosses. I've been surprised and impressed with how frequent the game has dolled these out!
I do agree with the overall score nonetheless, and share in view that better writing and a more fleshed out world could have taken this score up to an 8 or 9 for sure.

It's funny this game runs better on a Nintendo Switch than on a PC with an Athlon Silver 3050e. I know the processor is ancient but it's more powerful than the CPU in a Nintendo Switch. 😕
looks like a shi2225y garbage version of Astro Aqua Kitty. Just stick with that one instead! Plus AAK has a top notch soundtrack.
