Stephen King is nothing short of a masterclass. He makes complex topics simplistic and easy to digest. I also recommend reading The Running Man. Great novel!!!!🤴🤴🤴🤴
I love SK's "non-horror" books the best. This one is my absolute fave of his, but I love time travel books, and this one is unique. The Green Mile is wonderful as well as Stand By Me. If you are wanting horror, Misery is my favorite.
Every time you said Jake, my brain filled in with “from State Farm” 😆🤣🤦🏼♀️ Great review!! Really enjoyed it. I’ve never read Stephen King… but maybe that should change soon! Not with this book though… if there’s a romance, it better end well, lol. I’d be curious for you to read Stephen King’s Fairytale. I keep thinking about picking it up, so that’d be awesome if you could tell me if I should or not! ❤
Since you said you like romance Liseys Story and Wizard in Glass are his most romantic stories. My favorite is The Long Walk. He wrote it before Carrie. Its kinda a predecessor to Hunger Games
The stand by stephen is one my favorites and I always recommend it. Just a fair warning..... it is long. It's in the thousands with the page count. Fairy Tale was also a really good one. Then any of the "Classics" like Pet Semetary, carrier, the shining, IT, and misery. ^_^
I would recommend Green Mile, Misery, or The Dead Zone. All of these are significantly shorter than the book. You just read and each has elements of that book. Green Mile has the dramatic emotional element. Misery has the suspenseful element. And the dead zone has the character driven, romantic, and political elements. If you want, what Steven King is truly known, for which is hard, you might want to read Salems lot, it, pet Sematary, or Cujo.
11/22/63 is my favourite SK! Glad you enjoyed it. It’s so different from his other works, but so good and I think you would enjoy his other books!

I've had 11/22/63 on my shelf for a few months because I'm so intimidated, but you've convinced me to read it now!

If you want to read more Stephen King books, I would suggest Misery! It is spooky and unnerving, and definitely shorter😉
good to know, thanks! 💞
Billy Summers is the only Stephen King I've read, and I really enjoyed it. This definitely made me want to read 11/22/63 as my second!
oooo! i’ll add to my tbr!
