I'll always bleed Bigfoot blue when it comes to Monster Trucks but the more I pay attention to Outlaw and Mike Wine the more impressed I am, that dude was independent as far as I know and still kept up with the big boys. He ran hard, kind of like Dennis Anderson, when in doubt throttle out.
The first car stack in that near lane was a joke, the end of the stack launched every truck and then you add in the guardrail being so close and it made for a very unfair race
@@butteryfistful2426 They work on it for night two and eliminate that issue, however the outside lane isn't lined up as well then. Ah well, they do the best they could with what they had back then.

Andy is referencing his issues at Middletown. When he says "here", he means the NY mini-tour. After watching this (no spoilers lol), you can see why Gary & David choose to run in the near lane on night two & continually call it the "good lane" even though there is more room on the outside. Also, David's interview after racing Kong in the semi-finals of night two he says he's been running in both lanes, which would not be accurate if that were the first night.

Thanks for the great upload, one of the few 1989 events I haven't seen.

How odd to see this kind of track seems the lines are not lined up right.
Would you consider this your home race track for these trucks?
Lebanon Valley is my home track.
Andy Brass says “We had the same problem here the OTHER NIGHT”.
This is Race Two
