I agree, but this is all part of a system, the system being that they need to make it cost effective where its not too expensive for kids,(to get as gifts) so the pieces and overall size need to be lower

A stop motion instruction would be nice, I like the modification, looks cool and better able to transport an assault squad

Yeah. It definitely looks more movie accurate. The design would also be really good for something like a landing boat. All in all though, this looks amazing. Great job.

I think this will be become an excellent updated set. There be one set without shooting (for people who don’t like the shooting part) while the other set with shooting (for people who do like the shooting part).
I like the version Richboy Jhae did, his looks great.

I'm a fan of stud and spring loaded shooters. I was not a fan of flick fire missiles. But for both of them u have to pick them up. I know now a days they give u extra ammo I don't want to loose those after loosing the originals
I like them when they come up with clever trigger mechanisms, but in general they are always shooting off when I don't want them to! I have missiles all over my basement floor.

You need to compact your troopers more, mine (unmodified) fits 8 stormtroopers, back to back just like in the movie scene.
the ocd for detail is the same amount of ocd that I have

awesome build, as usual. i like how you changed the size of the cockpit as well. it's a small touch, but i think it really helps the proportions of the ship.

yeah, i know what you mean! had the same problem with a german event called "absolut steinchen". i wasn't able to finish my MOC, so i just ripped some of the walls apart, built a few cranes and pretended it was a construction site :P
Good idea. The good news is that my moonbase will really never be finished, it will keep growing, I just need to get enough built to show it in public. Hopefully it's one those things where procrastination really works out with some manic build at the end.

Yep, I put all of my FO stormtroopers in there, if I recall.
It's a pretty strong idea, because you really can't, but you still think you're going to ruin it completely.
I definitely had that thought when I started taking it apart!

I think that ten is exactly a squad.
Wookiepedia does say it can fit up to twenty troops in one transporter, but on a lego scale this works out well with ten inside!
