I lost my grandfather recently. I never knew my dad until literal weeks ago, and I was honestly a pretty messed up kid. Despite all of that, he took me in and raised me as his own. He'd always tell me to keep my head up, but his death was the first in a long line of awful things that have happened up until now and I'm finding it really hard to do that. I'm gonna do my best though. Until everyone can live in peace again. Until everybody's safe. Until my family can smile like they used to. It's what he would have wanted. It's crazy how these problems always existed when you were younger, you just weren't aware of it at the time. But now that I'm older, I truly understand. Adulthood at its core isn't difficult because you're older, it's just because of the way this world is. So many people are struggling financially when they shouldn't have too. And there's so many struggles outside of money that can make life difficult, but when you struggle financially, you struggle to have a foundation, since money will determine that. Your basic needs, water, food, shelter...It's so hard not to worry about all of this. But I rediscovered this song at the right time, because you truly will end up fine. You just have to keep your head up. The funny thing is I heard this song in my head, I was so close but so far away to learning the name of it. It was on the tip of my tongue. I thought about other musicians but it wasn't quite it. Finally, though, I got it. And now I'm here. Those things never really leave you. They're somewhere deep down inside of you. Different, but the same. I didn't know much about the economy when I was younger being a child, but I do know we all have bad days, and we just need to get through it. Eventually, things will get better. Now that never changes. Young or old, that truth remains the same.

when i was 5 years old i met andy. before he was famous. he was a neighbor at my apartment and he was selling a yellow Volkswagen bug . i remember walking by and telling him i was going to buy it for my mom.... just being five he let me really look at the car and "inspect" it as if i was really about to buy it. a genuine dude. glad to see life go good for someone!!
