I can't believe I came across this video. Never heard of your app before. I'm a blind Mac user and I'm quite involved with music production. I do own an Apollo and I find it very frustrating not being able to access the UA console app with Mac's built in screen reader called Voiceover. I've posted in many UA forums with no feedback. Like anybody else I’m waiting for this feature since 6 years. This is so great, thank you. My workflow will increase at 200%. I nice improvement could be, if the app is hidden at login and in the menu a symbol.
On my Mac (10.14) the app is crashing with a akai apc mini, when I move the fader too long. Move a fader 20 sec up and down and it will crash. I'm on the latest version.

Yes. You can map the presets on your device like any other parameter and use them as banks. I explain this in this video: ruclips.net/video/4XWNGff0h_E/видео.html If you have many banks, you might consider getting a Mackie device and using the app in Mackie Mode - this will allow you to switch as many banks as you want, including the parameters of plugins.
If it’s not a secret, could you share how your App is communicating with the Apollo Console App? I couldn’t find any documentation from UAD about controlling the Apollo Console remotely.

Hey, I’d like to use this with my Fishman triple play foot switch so while I’m changing my midi guitar I’d like to switch the Preset and UAD. I’d like to be able to switch the overall preset so I don’t have to mess with parameters in midi is this possible? If not is it possible to get a second midi foot switch to just control the preset? Uad has an overall folder presetAnd I’d like to integrate a set list to change it, but I’m not sure if this is possible it seems so simple though
Hi I've Just bought the full app and a Launch control xl to use with it. Could you explain to me how I can use the Track select buttons on the Launch control to Bank up and down channels in blocks of 8? I currently have 32 channels in console . Also when using the Launch control with logic you can toggle the track control buttons to be rec arm ,solo or mute, is there a way of doing this in the app? if I use any of the modifiers currently they just send midi messages to the app but don't bank up or modify the buttons. The app seems pretty clear if your not using modifiers but I can't see how I implement the above. Thanks again for your work on this.

If you are on Mac and using Midi Mode, it can work at the same time. With Mackie Mode, you can use the "DAW Mode" button to quickly switch between Logic and Console. On Windows, you'll have to use Loop Midi to use the same controller with 2 apps at the same time.
Software is not detecting my Korg Nanokontrol 2 and Korg Nanopad2. My system sees them fine in other software, like REAPER, but the controllers do not appear in the midi tab in settings. Both devices occupy inputs within the first 10 midi inputs in the registry.
Are you on Windows? This is a common problem with the Korg drivers. Try to search their forums for answers, if I remember correctly one solution was to install older driver versions.
This is fantastic! Can I recall presets over MIDI? I’d like to have an SDD-3000 on one of the Aux channels, and then use multiple presets over MIDI - is that possible? Thanks!

Yes, you can totally do that! Using the Mac Virtual Port (IAC Driver) you can send messages to the App and load Plugin Presets, Console Sessions or fine tune the Plugin parameter if you want to go more specific.
You can use as many controllers as you wish, as long as the computer sees it as a midi device. Usb to midi connector should work, as well as Midi via bluetooth.

The App does support motorized fader feedback. But it currently does not fully support Mackie Protocol, which is why it might not work 100% correctly with Faderport 8. The Faderport does have a "Midi Mode", but apparently it's not bidirectional. But Mackie Control Protocol is a feature that is in plan for the future.
Crazy app, is it possible to use a controller for Ableton and UAD console at the same time ? It's for a live performance, I need to control the gain of my mic while controlling ableton
It works wirelessly as long as you use a mobile midi app to send commands. Otherwise, I am currently developing a dedicated iOS/Android app, so stay tuned ;)

Hey, i would like to configure a wah wah style effect using this app. So connect a midi expression pedal to my system and then control the low pass filter cutoff frequency of an eq plugin inside UAD Console/LUNA with it. Would this be possible? Best Regards

Hi, there isn't such a mode. But if you have a controller with moving faders or infinite knobs, hey will follow the movement in Console and you will be able to continue where you left off.

Incredible App, Thanks! It allows me to easily gig live through my Apollo. One licence should be enough though, for dual PC users (home studio PC and live gigging PC). Apart from that you deserve a medal.
What are the limitations of the free versus the paid app my friend. I have started to use it and it has had no issues linking the basic controls I have asked of it but I noticed a timer at the the top of the app telling me I have 12 days left, so I am curious. I think even if the paid version is more than I need I will save up to own it just because you have solved the problems I have always gripes about like instantly by simply installing your program, it’s easy to use, no hard work to use it you have done all the work and taken the sting out of that part of it and the fact you can also change the colours is the only app I’ve seen that offers that, I don’t know if it will work with my Line 6 FBV3 pedal to actually change the colors but it will be the first product that will have achieved that if so. Incredible work friend , UAD should have done this themselves. I hope you keep it to yourself because of the hard work you have done but UA themselves would probably pay you very handsomely for it , and hopefully implement it as standard if so. But makes sure you get the best deal you can if so, you deserve it
Hey, thanks! You are currently running trial mode, which is the same as running s license. After that it will enter in free mode, where you will have some of the features, but not all. For example, the LED feedback including the colors is not part of the free version. Little experience with MIDI so please excuse, but can I use say an old digital mixing console with MIDI In/Out/Thru to to use as an external controller (Roland VS880)? Thanks.
I don't know this specific device, but the general answer is yes :) You just need to connect the midi to the computer (usually with midi-usb converter) and it should work.

I am unsure how that interfaces with my audio interface (UA Apollo) as the Apollo has it's own Thunderbolt connection, though it seems that they all communicate so guess I won't know till I try. This is possible, in the latest version of the app, you can load Console Sessions, Effect Presets or Channel Strip Presets.

Yes, you can save and recall presets with midi commands.

It works only with controllers that can send midi. The one you mentioned doens't seem to have any midi ports.

hey Radu, I recently upgraded UA connect to the latest version of UAD CONSOLE 1.1.0, and then found that the MIDI control seems to have failed. Is there any solution?

there are no options to control the output volume on my Apollo 8. Did I do something wrong?
The 2nd to last category on the left is called MONITOR (above EXTRA/EXTRA). There is a "Volume" parameter you can assign in there. Working for me :)

Little experience with MIDI so please excuse, but can I use say an old digital mixing console with MIDI In/Out/Thru to to use as an external controller (Roland VS880)? Thanks.
I don't know this specific device, but the general answer is yes :) You just need to connect the midi to the computer (usually with midi-usb converter) and it should work.
@@RaduVarga Thanks. I'm looking at the adapters now. I am unsure how that interfaces with my audio interface (UA Apollo) as the Apollo has it's own Thunderbolt connection, though it seems that they all communicate so guess I won't know till I try. Thank you for your quick response and your software.
@@derekec There is no direct connection between Apollo and your device. That's the job of my software :)

No, it only works with Console.

It does work, you have to use the Artist Mix in Mackie Mode.

@@RaduVarga Ok i tried putting it on Mackie mode in your software but the artist mix doesn't seem to want to do anything. When i start midi mapping and turn up the faders for example the software doesn't seem to recognize it though it does seem to be there in the preferences
Added an x touch with Luna but I can’t even get channel names to show up
My app only works with Console, Luna has its own implementation of MCU integration.
My x touch does not show up it works but I have no channel names no implementation of Luna at all can’t even get behringer website to work and I. Not a newbie
