despite being an underpowered heavy car, it's so fun to drive, handles very well for its size and despite being underpowered, this thing can still push..i own an is200 and i'm proud of it
I completely agree with you, I have a honda civic and it is very fast and fun, but the is200 has a lot of potential also for its size and weight, it can be driven very fast, it has a very good chassis. Thanks for comment
The truth is that it is very noble, if you know the car, it is difficult to lose control although it must be said that you should not be abrupt. The sound of the 6 cylinders is very nice! Thank you very much for commenting 😊
@@didac_vtec How does it compare to other cars you've driven? I am considering it as my next car and i want something more entertaining/sporty without being that fast. Currently i have Subaru XV 2.0i its not too fast, awd system is nice and its almost excessively gripy but it doesnt really make me feel anything aside of sounding nice. It's my second car after 1990 Toyota Celica GT-i(3S-GE motor 156hp, IS/Altezza had last version of it in japan funnily enough) which was very entertaining to drive all the time, so with IS i think i might be coming back to toyota's more fun cars, especially because of rear wheel drive. I also want 6 cylinder sound, not necessarily with more power. I specificly look at Sportcross version since i want it to be more of less as practical as XV is now.
I drive the same model of car. (Different type of engine.) I am glad to have seen the video of you driving that car on the Nürburgring. There was the same type of car on the way. Thank you.
I see that you have no buttons for traction control or heated seats in it, does it have fully mechanical throttle like Altezza AS200 had in traction control-less versions? It's something i want to have in IS once i get it, so if you can tell me more about your's i would greatly appreciate it. EDIT: oh wait i think i see those now, or are those 2 buttons for something else below the radio? I want to buy myaelf the Sportcross, but i ponder if 2.0 wont be a bit too qeak(tho i ever only womer 150-160hp car myself and deove plenty weaker and stronger ones, power doesnt always equate fun. Most fun car i drove was ancient Fiat 125 with a 1.5L 80hp engine so there is that. I just want a car that is fun to drive and has nice feedback on all inputs and from steering. IS200 does work out for you in that regard? Or should i get IS300 and manual swap it?
My is200 have a Traction control and snow mode, the chassis it's very funny but in the hillclimbs need more power... The problem of the is300 is the weight, 100kg more compared at the is200. Yes, is 1000cc and 60hp more, but i prefered 90-100kg less, but maybe the sport cross is much more heavier at the sedan.

When you're 1300km from home and on vacation, the last thing you want to do is take a chance, a fun ride doesn't exactly mean going to kill yourself. The GreenHell is not a joke, I invite you to go and see for yourself, from home drifting in a polygon it is said very easy but living the experience is another matter 😉
