I'm happy Scotty won. I'm tired of people saying he only won because girls thought he was hot. I wanted him to win BECAUSE he had an amazing voice. It's about time I've seen another country singer win American Idol. Lauren has talent too, don't get me wrong. But obviously in the end, Scotty was the winner. Lauren might get a contract and be a big hit just like Adam Lambert. Who cares if all he can sing is country? He's from the south. What do you want him to do, rap? HAHAHA..I'm happy for him.

I knew when Randy keep on praising Lauren - I know Scotty will win for sure. The same stratedy they did with David Archuleta keep on praising David A and at the end David Cook won. I like Scotty and Lauren.

Even though I know he wins, I sill get goosebumps when I watch and the winner of american idol season 10 is... Lol I'm such a loser. I wanted Lauren to win but Scotty was my 2nd fav in the competition!! Can't wait till season 11. Hopefully the same judges!!

@lovetodance My grandmother is blind and loves him she has from the start n when we told her that he was a skinny 17 year old guy she was shocked because she thought he sounded much older and she pictured him much bigger so not everyone votes on looks it's not all about looks for everyone some people just like his voice. Their are other country people out their, same goes for pop same goes for rock.Their lots of singers out their but everyone including scotty has something different about them.
Nope wrong. Scotty only won because 90% of his fan base based him on looks. Think about it. When he visited back home, all the girls were crying and chasing him. That's why he got so many votes, girl as all over him. That's why Justin Bieber is populoar. No he didn't deserve to win because he was not the most talented contestant that season. Haley Reinhart by far was the most talented contest that season. Indeed, the only reason Scotty won, was because of Idol's idiotic voting system, which allowed people to vote as often as they wanted to for two hours. Had the system been fairer, the young adolescent females who power voted as a voting bloc for cute boys would not have been able to push Scotty through, and the real winner that season would have won.

And the teens don't take up all the votes theirs still adults and elders my guess is he got a lot of the teen girl votes, plus the elderly votes and split the rest of the votes with lauren and their for he wins. And for someone who is out side of the US it is sort of frustrating to see people complain about who won or who got kicked off. You make the choice of who stays and goes home!
