i know Im asking the wrong place but does someone know a way to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost the login password. I love any tips you can give me!
@Maddux Princeton i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
You are the best teacher on RUclips. The way how you explain what you are doing is so concise and clear which makes it extremely easy to follow along. I also really appreciate that you add the “why” in each step so it makes it easy to remember the stitches since we know the reason behind where we are going next. Also, this stitch just looks so pretty when finished. ❤
Wow, thank you! That is a lovely comment and we totally appreciate it! So glad it was helpful! Please feel free to share what you create on our Facebook group for beading and jewelry-making! Here is another lovely bracelet video you may enjoy! www.potomacbeads.com/how-to/projects-tutorials/bracelet-projects/PPBW1357.html
Glad it was helpful and you are so very welcome! Thank you so much for watching! Here is another video that shows that same bracelet with embellishments! www.potomacbeads.com/how-to/projects-tutorials/holiday-themed-projects/winter-blossom-bracelet.html
After watching many chenille stitch tutorials, I found yours was the best and the beautiful design as well. I ordered from Potomac beads the exact bracelet you did as I found it was so beautiful. Thanks for the great instructions, Allie!
You are so welcome! We're so glad you like the video and we appreciate your lovely comment! Thank you for your support! Here is a video of that same bracelet with some added embellishments! www.potomacbeads.com/how-to/projects-tutorials/holiday-themed-projects/winter-blossom-bracelet.html
Thank you so very much. Your directions were great, but I was still having trouble. So I finally started over again, very slowly, with you as you beaded and talked. I changed bead color every time you changed something row by row. When you started the repeats, I could finally see them better and your explanations as to what was needed, I finally “got it”. Thanks for your clear explanation. ❤️
Wonderful! So glad you got this! This stitch is a bit more complicated than RAW or Peyote stitch however once it clicks, you know you got it! And like with anything else, the more you do it, the easier it gets. The trick is to never give up! Here is an embellished Chenille stitch bracelet video you may enjoy! www.potomacbeads.com/how-to/projects-tutorials/winter-blossom-bracelet.html
We agree, this is a fun stitch and looks so pretty when completed! Here is another unique and fun bracelet video you may enjoy! www.potomacbeads.com/how-to/projects-tutorials/bracelet-projects/PPBW1667.html
Thank you so much Allie. This one was a bit of a challenge but I did not let it defeat me! I got it and can’t wait to make many more. I appreciate you and all the other ladies that spend so much time making videos for folks like myself that without you I would be lost in the beading world. Thanks again so very much!
LOOOOOVVVEEEE IT!!!! Stick with the video people! I stopped too early and tried to rewind to find the repeat spot and wasted a lot of time. Allie will go through all the tricky parts after the basic tutorial pattern. Such a beautiful piece, can't wait to finish mine! Thanks!
I’m not much of a bead weaver...... I love to string more than anything. I don’t think I’ve seen the Flat Chenille stitch, or if I have it’s been a long time. Your lesson today was very helpful and thorough!! After seeing the completed bracelet on you.....this is a bracelet I would love to try!! Thanks so much Allie!!! I wish you, your family and everyone and their families at Potomac Beads a Happy and Safe New Year!! ❤️📿🎉
You are amazing. It's a little difficult project for me cause I am new student in jewelry making. I will definitely try this challenge. You have wonderful 👏 way of teaching. You are A+ teacher. I would love to be your student. I learned a lot. When I start working on this project I will keep watching step by step your tutorial. Thanks again 🥰 Komal.
You should consider joining our Facebook group for Beading and Jewelery Making! Lots of beaders at different skill levels who are willing to help you learn lots of techniques!
Ever since I learned how to stitch tubular chenille at least 18 months ago, I've wondered how to stitch flat chenille, but I couldn't find a tutorial for it - until now. THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this terrific tutorial! It really does look simple. Well maybe not simple, but easy enough once learned and in a rhythm. The possibilities for the flat chenille stitch, embellished or not, seem endless depending on the combination of beads used. I can actually imagine a 15/0 on either side of the outer edge 11's for a little more embellishment or bling. Anxious to give this a whirl, esp. since seeing your Winter Blossom bracelet. Thanks again!
nice stitch, this is the last tutorial of this 2019, have had fun 2 years on yours channel and eu e-commerce , just thanks a lot and happy new year in few hours incoming, love ❤️
HaHa, Allie, I'm not even trying to do this stitch and already I'm confused!! I think I'll have to let this one marinate for a while...Thanks for sharing this beautiful stitch and bracelet project with us.
🤯🤯❗❗ Complicated turns, I got bored of the impossible, although I experienced it and I almost have a bracelet but I can't keep looking at the computer because I can't find the logic to memorize and flow with work. Nice work. Thanks for sharing
I believe this is the first time I've ever seen a tutorial on flat chenille stitch. Tubular chenille stitch is one of my faves. You said herringbone stitch but I think it's more like peyote. Maybe odd count peyote with the 8/0 turnaround.
Took me forever to wrap my brain around tubular Chenille stitch , this is so clear instruction that seeing 3 rows I knew what I am supposed to do . Thank You Allie ! Happy New Year to all of you !
Wow! This is beautiful but I’m going to save it until I’m more experienced. I’ve only been beading for a little over a year and even though I was sort of able to follow along, I don’t quite “see” how to do the sides yet. But I know I’ll get there which is why this will go on my list of future projects! Thank you for sharing all levels of designs - I love seeing things like this that give me something to aim for so I can really see the progress I’m making as things click! Wishing you a Happy and Healthy New Year! 💜
Wish you would come up with one of these bracelets that could work as a watch band for Fitbit. Using seed beads or delicacies would be lovely I have a gazillion of them :-)
I get to going pretty good and then I seem to derail about at row 5 or 6 and I'm sure I look like a deer in headlights!!! It's a great tutorial, but I'm going to have to do it over and over to finally get it. It's those turns lol!!!! Thanks so much and I'll keep at it!
Watch it without working it, until you can predict each move just before it's shown. That way, you gain confidence without the stress of having to keep undoing it. 😜👍🏼
I love this stitch. Thank you for the great tutorial! Only issue I am having is finding a clasp. The one pictured is no longer available. Is there a particular size I should look for in a 3 strand clasp?
Love this bracelet! It’s taking me a while to get this stitch but I’m totally determined! Do you have a video that shows a different style clasp? Maybe two buttons or something like that. Thank you all for your many great tutorials, I’m learning so much!
Chenille stitch and Pondo stitch look the same but are worked very differently. Is there a difference between them that I've missed or are they the same stitch by different methods?
Hello! It can be a little confusing if this stitch is new to you. The important thing is to keep at it and don't give up. A helpful tip - watch the video a few times, then try doing the stitch with the video. Stop or pause the video when you need to. After a while, it will click and you will recognize when the stitch calls for you to add the beads and circle around. Be patient with yourself, you will get it!
I love this stitch. I followed the tutorial and even bought the same clasp off your site. The bracelet is beautiful but the clasp (I ordered 3 and they're all the same) is very stiff and now I wish I didn't sew it onto my bracelet. I'm going to have to take it apart and start over because the clasp doesn't open very easily AT ALL once the bracket is on. :-(
So....upon further inspection, I realized the cause of the issue was my own error!! Clasp is still pretty stiff but workable and getting better each time I use it!! I am in love with this stitch!!!
Wonderful tutorial - thank you for all you do.
You are very welcome Pamela :)

I just today thinking after watching videos about spiral chenille that how about making flat chenille 🙂
So thank you for making that
Love this bracelet! It’s taking me a while to get this stitch but I’m totally determined! Do you have a video that shows a different style clasp? Maybe two buttons or something like that. Thank you all for your many great tutorials, I’m learning so much!
Hi Rosie, we do not have one for this video but here is a video with a couple options ruclips.net/video/kVftpFZDm0Y/видео.html
Un saludo, yo uso esta técnica pero solo con rocalla 11/0, veo que tu usas 11/0 y 8/0...no queda nada mal y es mas cómodo.
Enhorabuena por el vídeo.
Thank you so much for watching :)
Chenille stitch and Pondo stitch look the same but are worked very differently. Is there a difference between them that I've missed or are they the same stitch by different methods?
I think we can get the same thing with using Pondo stitch, no ?
Hi Ally! Mahalo for sharing this easy and friendly video. With this project, can I use Toho instead of Myuki? Mahalo 🤙🏽
Yes of course!
❤
Thank you for watching!
What do you do with the stop bead? Did I miss it? Beautiful bracelet.
The stop bead comes off at the end of the project and the clasp is attached.
When you got to the 5th row, it confuses me because you went in a circle at both ends.

Yeah, the clasps get easier as you use them, they just need wearing in, like new shoes. 😃
It's been awhile since this video was made and I was looking for that Aluminum Silver Miyuki bead. Is this a discontinued color?
You can check the Miyuki seed beads 8/0 - Crystal Labrador here: www.potomacbeads.com/miyuki-seed-beads-labrador-full-8-0#attr=69977,69978,69979,69980
👍👍❤️🌹
And I assume one could do this with 6/0s and 8/0s instead of 8s and 11s?
Yes definitely, you can modify sizes easily.
The fun thing about this is, make it longer and you'll get a choker.
Great idea!
I was thinking the same thing! It's going to look SO GOOD!!!!
I’ve tried this before, but I just don’t really see the point. It looks exactly the same as flat netting, which is so much simpler.
;
You go a little fast my dear, and very confusing.
Sorry about that. Which part of the tutorial you are confused so we can further help you out?.
