  • I finally got setup to record some tutorial style content on top of my regular riff videos!
This is how I setup my sessions for when I'm doing a riff video or a heavier demo. It gets me to a great starting place and I can then mix on from there.
I've been asked a lot of questions like this over the last couple of years so I thought it would be a great place to start as I figure out how to make this sort of content. I definitely have a lot to learn with this, and I've already learned a lot in making this one, but I hope you guys find this helpful!
These steps are all able to be replicated with stock/free plugins etc. And I'm happy to answer any questions! Let me know what else you would like to see. :)
DAW is Presonus Studio One 6
Using my Ibanez AZ2402 through Neural DSP's Archetype: Plini X
Bass is Submission Audio's UmanskyBass through NDSP Parallax.
Drums are RS Drums Fairview kit.
