Christ is risen from the dead,
Trampling down death by death,

From a historical perspective, it sounds funny when someone calls himself a "Ukrainian Orthodox Christian", because until 1917 every Orthodox Christian from today's Ukraine called himself a Ruthenian, and the term "Ukrainian" was reserved only for Greek Catholics.

As a Greek I respect the fact people still go to church
I go to St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico and this is such a beautiful church! its almost Easter and I always love the traditions on Easter Sunday. Christos Anesti!

@@user-sd2cz8fk2u The Catholics believe in the Holy Trinity, Crucifixion and Resurrection but their beliefs about the Holy Trinity are different to those of the Orthodox, how can they then still be called the same Christians as us? The Catholics also have the Pope as their head of the church (that's why we call them papists) but we have Christ so, once again, how can you still call them Christians? It just doesn't make any sense.

I was baptized Orthodox, but took a long "unscenic route" to really come to Orthodoxy at the age of 26. I tried most religions and denominations, but found peace, truth and the love of the Holy Spirit only in the Church which Christ founded at Pentecost - Orthodox Church. Which stands to this day and to the end of times, and the gates of hell won't conquer it, all as He promised
