The fact that the pod watcher with the longest runtime is when it's just Ryan and Shane talking to each other with no third to keep them on track makes all the sense in the world.

To further answer Ryans question about nipples: human fetuses will by default develop with female anatomy unless androgens are introduced during development. The production of androgens are stimulated by the presence of a Y chromosome. So because of this there are a lot of tissues that develop before sexual differentiation. Like the tissues that form into ovaries also form into the testicles. Same for the penis and labia minora. Nipples simply don't have another form to differentiate into so they remain underdeveloped in most males after puberty as the estrogen levels are not raised. If you were to supplement hormones you could also induce breast development lactation in males.
Also more simply - evolution has no delete button. It's not worth trying to get rid of em on half of people
You can induce lactation in males with repetitive stimulation too - great fact to freak your guy friends out with.

Shane has a point - it's often rude at wine tastings to say what people should be tasting before they even take a sip and think about it for themselves because of the power of suggestion. Chances are you'll be able to taste what people tell you that you taste.
the informal top 5 cookie beatdown conversation really brought me back to a comment they made about the Russian sleep experiment where they said everyone around them would be going nuts with sleep deprivation and they would just be like: "I thought the third act of Tenet was pretty weak". I see this now
That's the second time Ryan has gone off about his amazement of the homemade chocolate chip cookies. It's hard to mess up and every recipe is just a variation of good- as long as you don't burn them. 😂

Me and my best mate once had a massive play argument about what dr pepper tasted like - i said cherry and she said almond. We even got her dad involved who was just happy to be along for the vibes lol. Turns out theres 50 odd flavours and cherry/almond are the 2 biggest.

Bats absolutely enhance the viewing experience for any movie. When I was four years old my dad showed me Empire Strikes Back for the first time. We got to the scene with the Mynocks in the asteroid worm’s gullet and somehow, some way, a bat decided that it was the perfect time to reveal that it had somehow made its way into the house. I thought there was a Mynock in the house and to this day ESB is my least favorite Star Wars film 😂😂😂

Try freezing homemade Tollhouse cookies and dunking into a cold glass of milk! My grandma used to freeze her cookies, and the texture brings me back.

I love this podcast so much, i usually listen to it on spotify and then watch it here too, when i can. For an audio medium i feel like i miss a lot not watching too. Lol. The banter is immaculate, you can tell they really know eachother well, i love Steven too, he's like a dad that keeps them on track.
Also i just want to say i totally get the hot dog thing. I have a weird obsession with the Donner party and Uruguayan flight 571, I've been a vegetarian almost 15 years, this started before my true crime interests but in my mind i have equated all flesh. May as well be human, dog, cat, whatever. I cook the shit out of any veggie burger or vegan chicken patty type thing i have, i usually double the cooking time on most things. 😅

im in australia and for a while we had a thing at mcdonalds that was kind of like the coke freestyle thing but with a max of 3 flavours- and lime and vanilla was my favourite combo its such a perfect mix, vanilla and orange too but thats a more classic combo

Someone should tell the boys, re: today's conversation about lemon+vanilla/creme and prior convos about sparkling water, the Alani brand has a Lemon Creme sparkling water that legitimately tastes like lemon creme and it's stunning. I don't know how they got a sparkling water to deliver a cream flavor amongst that bitter carbonation, but they did it. It's my favorite fizzy water alongside Soleil's mojito flavor.

I don’t consider myself much of a baker, I just really have a sweet tooth and don’t like going out to get my fix. But by Ryan’s standards, I’m a professional😂 My fave choc chip cookie recipe is literally called The Best Chocolate Cookie Recipe Ever online. I’m thinking of making chipless ones next. Oh and I had a cannoli cheesecake for my birthday two years ago and I still think of how good it was weekly.

If you enjoyed Knock at the Cabin, you should DEFINITELY read the book: Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay. I thought the movie was okay, but I really enjoyed the book. Not very long, great tension, ends differently than the movie.
