Poor man, the way they wouldn’t listen to his poor mother account of her son whereabout, when she said he was with her at the time of the crime,& they both went on to die together a year apart a year after his release, it’s just saddening really 😢😢
Class sideways eye darting from Nick, when the wrong image came up on the screen, and smooth covering of the lack of an image on screen from Fiona. There were a lot of camera, editing and technical cock ups in this edition, and verbal stammers and strangely elongated stretching of words too. It seemed a difficult broadcast for everyone. But a great upload!
The way that copper spoke so blasé about Stephen Kiszko angered me. The whole bit about his story on this CW episode didnt show enough sympathy, regret and more importantly accountability for what they did to that poor man. The stuff about there was viable evidence against him at the time is very questionable. They used awful tactics to break him down to confess. The usual patsy. RIP Stephen ❤
Just made this same comment myself. There was no actual evidence. And what he described as evidence here was not evidence at all in a court of law. They just can’t help covering each others backs. Even when they’re from different generations and don’t know each other.
Absolutely - and the police had taken a semen sample from Kiszko and knew it contained no sperm, whereas the evidence at the scene did, but they withheld that from the defence. He was also seriously let down by his defence team, who ran an alternative defence of manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility without Kiszko's approval, which wrecked his credibility.
19:33 'Whats wrong with us Brits?' Serious? The guy was clearly schizophrenic and ready to kill somebody. That would have been a very scary situation. The victim did well but he's lucky. Pull the communication cord and everyone would have been locked in the train with the guy, sit still and someone is going to get stabbed. Plus, south London commuter trains rarely have guards, bit of a tight situation that one. PS Why do train reconstructions on Crimewatch always happen around Croydon?
Definitely the wrong thing to say by Fiona there. It seems there are lots of cases on crimewatch when they are looking for ' Mediterranean, or Asian looking men.' I've never heard Fiona ever say ' What's wrong with all these foreigners?'
The problem with police is outlined here very well. The copper commenting on this says there was ‘considerable compelling evidence’ that said he was the murderer. His confession being one which isn’t evidence. And 2 alleged indecent exposure accusations, again, neither of them evidence. He doesn’t describe any further supposed compelling evidence (as there wasn’t any). So 30 years later after the man has been set up and taken advantage of by bad policemen, exonerated by the courts and died due to the stress and the police still cover his own colleagues backs and says there was compelling evidence when in fact there was no evidence at all ever which is why he was exonerated. Disgraceful from the police they really are one big boys club. Even 30 years later when the guy doesn’t even know the boys he’s defending. Shameless.
Yeah, that's a poor show. It's one thing for people to defend it at the time, when interrogation without solicitors was standard. For someone to be doing in 2003, many years after PACE, is quite another.
The tragedy is the Chief Forensic Officer , and the lead detectives knew he was innocent before he was even sent for trial ! Yet still, they insisted he was guilty all the way through right uo until he was released and tried to say they still believed he was implicated in some way . They themselves should have be jailed for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice .
I remember the poor man framed for this horrible murder that was almost as bad as the murder itself poor mentally ill person who was convenient for the police to frame and stitch up instead of going out looking for the real killer they looked for the easy Patsy. Poor man was treated horribly in prison before being released and then passed away a few months after being released. I hope at least the mother was compensated accordingly and was relieved she'd found justice. RIP Stefan and mum
The police officer and forensic officer never got charged or punished for setting up Stefen for Lesley's murder a man who had the mental age of a 7 year old and he only got a year of freedom before passing away and the real murder got to go on hurting kids and was the owner of a comic book shop when he was arrested for murdering Lesley RIP Stefen and Lesley
That poor mother of the little boy that went missing what she must have gone through the pain of never seeing her little boy again and then a year or so later on she passed away herself
2024 And still watching these old crimewatches . And the last words of Nick Dont have nightmears sleep well , i did have nightmears and didnt sleep well.

Yes, he was an absolute disgrace.
How the actual f do police get a semen sample from someone...

And this should have been a great indication to limit immigration.
Thanks for the upload @oldstuff
Over 20 years later, Margaret Muller's murder is unsolved😢
Such a senseless murder, appears to be opportunistic, definitely unsolvable at this point.
any dna available
13 and a half years for killing and drug dealing is not justice his out now. That man will never come back or be able to see his daughter milestones…
Thank you, OldStuff. 🙂
Poor Gladys. What a despicable crime on a defenceless lady😢
RIP Lesley Molseed and Stefan Kiszko!
Ronald castree was Lesley's killer
That's right, thought he looked like a wee fattie in his mugshot
ye Hope he never gets out of prison

Technically a confession is an eyewitness statement, which is evidence, albeit rubbish evidence
Ronald Caatale was convicted of Lesley Molseed’s murder and got thirty two years and also convicted of abusing children including his own son Xx
Castree
Superb again, thanks

Wow thank you!!!!!
Was there an episode in Jan 2003?
No. There were 2 eps in February instead. AndyJS uploaded the other February episode back in 2018 and is available on here
And the two girls who accused Stephen of flashing later said they had lied,so n9 previous .
Max McLean there basically covered for bent police officers in the case of Lesley Moleseed. They are all the same Plod.

Yea, that was a tragedy. I remember when this news broke, shocking no one was really held to account from memory
@@Stu-SB Yeah I'm glad he was a free man and not in prison when he passed away and that the basterd that did it is in prison
Another cracking episode....Super Sunday.
Premeditated murder should really carry a sentence of 35/40 years? The killer of Gladys Godfrey only got 22 years

Lesley's mother was a terrible person. She lied in the 1970s. The previous 1980s reconstruction was dishonest. She was negligent.
What did Lesley's mum lie about in the 1970s?
Sounds like you are talking rubbish.
Lesley was 11 years old - able to run an errand as long as it wasn't dark or was she made to go too often and too far - what exactly do you mean?

Lesley wasn’t it the moors murders Ian and Myra that done it? The fact she was found on the moors as well is dodgy
Ronald Castree was the monster
