*The Hooded Man*
It starts with a man who tells his story where he worked (New York City, NY, North Tower)
As he works nigh shifts, he finally gets off work around midnight, as he’s going down the stairs, an mysterious man who’s wearing a hoodie bumps into him, the guy annoyed said “Hey! Watch it!” Than the mysterious hooded man said “Don’t come to work tomorrow” the man confused said “what?”, but all the hooded man said “Don’t come to work tomorrow”. Freaked out and confused the man listened, and on the morning of September 11th, he heard the news of a plane crashing into the north tower’s 93rd-99th floor.
The man absolutely horrified because he had worked in 93rd floor of the north tower, right on impact as the plane flew into it. The man horrified and shocked that the man predicted this moment and somewhat saved his life.

How did he not plead guilty with all that evidence? He beaten, threaten, and plotted to kill her. He should be in prison, and two years is not enough. But at least it gives her time to run away because by the sound of that letter, she won't be lucky next time.

In abuse cases, as bad as it is, you always want to be seen as helpless (aka you never fought back), this way the defendant has no leverage. Defense lawyers use every trick in the book, you don't want to give them anything to work with.
Unless you genuinely feel for your or your families safety, then of course you can fight back because you have no choice (That is if you're a woman, men can't fight back because they will be the criminal if they do)
