This mix evokes classical foundation Jamaican music of the late 1950s to 1960s.
During the first hour of the show, periodically you will see popular Jamaican artifacts and personalities of the 70s and 80s. You will also see scenes of Jamaican dancing to ska music. Ska was originated in Jamaica in the late 1950s, Ska came before musical styles such as Rocksteady and Reggae. Ska is a combined musical element of Caribbean Mento and Calypso with a bit of American Jazz and also Rhythm and Blues.

The song 'One Love', was by The WAILERS! Not Bob Marley as was captioned. Yes, he was the lead vocalist on the track, however, it was sung bu the Wailers, including Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh.
I grew up listening to this sone as being done by the Wailers. How times have changed
That is one of the reason why Bob Marley is so now 'larger than life'. He was packaged and promoted to be the face of the group, and thus it became Bob Marley and the Wailers. It has now evolved to being just Bob Marley! So, Just like this dude captioning the One Love track as being done by Bob Marley, So, also I have seen other songs (with even the distinctive voice of Peter Tosh singing part lead), being attributed to Bob Marley!
