@@melolo-fv7td In recent years, no. It started when Sticker came out. They used pre-recorded vocals the whole promotion period (unless I missed a stage where there was live vocals). It doesn't really matter to me, although, I do enjoy hearing raw vocals. Plus, I know they can sing since they've proven themselves to be top tier vocalists.

@@melolo-fv7td idk about all idols. a lot of idols do use prerecorded vocals, but not all of them. as for sm idols, i can't speak for all of them. i just know that a lot of groups (some active sm artists included) have been getting a lot of hate for using prerecorded vocals instead of singing live.

Don't know y but i feel like SM is trying to comeback with live singing and they are using NCT 127 for it....our boys nailed it as usual.

SM FINALLY LET THEM TURN THEIR MICS ON !!!!!! and they showed that they are MORE than capable and it just makes the performance so much more enjoyable!!! my smile did not leave my face the entire time bc u can just tell that they are also having so much more fun being able to sing live!
They always give great performances but it’s obvious how much they are enjoying while singing live.
This is why I can't understand why SM won't let their artists sing live anymore (at least most of the time). They have the best vocalists, and they CAN all sing live but they just... won't. And it makes their performances seem so lackluster. The artists don't like it, the audience can feel it, yet SM keeps forcing all their incredible singers to lipsync. It's just not logical at all. At least we got this!! And they sound and look great!
I KNOW... I've seen this stage like 4 times, but watching this one actually kinda gave me goosebumps... I swear SM needs to chill with their pre-recordings.

1. the artists themselves fear the hate (i dont think so)
2. they dont want to damage the vocal chords
3. sm doesnt want to put extra effort for live performances

This comeback is legendary! The energy is unmatched with raw live vocals, improvised adlibs and Czennie's cheering.
SM needs to realize that we don't need "flawless" performances aka prerecorded vocals, their live stages are so much better
proud of SM finally letting their artists sing live again (it is not every performance, but at least we have something to look forward to in upcoming comebacks of other SM artists)

@@rukiarui9827 they all sing live. It's just that since 2020 SM uses prerecorded vocals the most and live singing is very rare. The live vocals we got the past 2 years were outside music shows. This year SM seems to let them sing live again.

sm hasn't been letting their artists sing live since mid 2020 (besides KEYs solo debut im p sure). its sad to look at stages like xiumins solo debut, nct dreams glimo/bb and aespa performances cos they sound too perfect to the point sm isnt even tryna hide it. im so happy we finally got a live stage from 127 this year :D
