This is 1975 recording, about 50years old. The time of their full boom, time of peak performance , but technology was not as developed as today. Excellent performance. Allah bless all the team members, especially Sabri brothers.
Excellent performance, May Allah grant His mercy & bestow Sabri Brothers in Jannah Al Firdous... (Heaven) ... Thanks for uploading veru rare & historical video... Jazakallahu Khaira Mir Fareeduddin Khan Hyderabad, India, Jeddah, KSA
This is truly a beautiful performance. I've been watching it non-stop for a week now. Seeing the Sabri Brothers in black and white is so pleasing and beautiful, if you can please try to find some more of their performances that are just in the greyscale. It's truly a blessing to be able to watch this in today's era :) And in regards to their performance, I can't find a fault in it like always, especially Maqbool Sabri and the way he controls his voice so seamlessly. Sabri Brothers are truly underrated
Ghulam Farid Sabri and Maqbool Ahmed Sabri consistently delivered extraordinary performances throughout their career. While this performance is undeniably remarkable, it's imperative to recognize that they had raised the bar with their other qawwalis. Their renditions possessed an inherently soothing quality that deeply resonated with dedicated listeners, setting them apart as true musical luminaries. Their earlier works, in particular, stand as testaments to their unparalleled musical prowess.
Exactly my words!! This is not their best because they performed Sazina and Qaul just to demonstrate what is qawwali to the Norwegian audience. If it was a full concert for Indo-Pak audience, then we could have seen their best. Nevertheless this is a very precious recording for us as not many videos of that time are available and that too in the best video quality. By 1975 the Sabri bros had toured most countries in Asia, Europe and Africa to introduce qawwali to other countries and this was one of them. As you said no one else had that soothing quality in their renditions. I too agree that their earlier works (may be till mid 80s) were greatest, but then you have to agree that things do always change with time as the artists age.
Waiting from over ten months for the last 1994 video of Ghulam Farid Sabri which you promised. Please upload asap and also take time to reply the emails -humble request.
Excellent musical aptitude of Maqbool Sabri lost in low sound as mike was not placed closer, he is unquestionably perfect and flawless from 17:50. But sadly, not much noticeable.
Thanks for bringing this to my notice. I checked the video and user you mentioned and definitely it is someone I know, but I am not sure who it is. I do have the nickname aqua because I used to contribute to school and college magazines with that name and I even had a blog with similar name. That username and links to my channel are surprising, still I don't remember anyone commenting with that name in my channel anytime to inform that they have provided links to my channel.
Apart from the four brothers in front (Mehmood Sabri, Maqbool Sabri, Ghulam Farid Sabri and Kamal Sabri Left-Right), the others at back are Maseehuddin (Left most), the allrounder with tabla, naal and clapping is Anwar Kha (his son Afzal Sabri is a famous qawwal now), the center one with bushy side-burns is Umar Daraz, besides him is I think Abdul Aziz(not fully sure), don't know the name of the one beside him and the right most one with dholak is Abdul Kareem Sahab.
Oldest video of Sabri Brothers available online is from film Chand Suraj (1970) of the qawwali "Mohabbat Karnewalon Mohabbat Isko Kehte Hain". ruclips.net/video/uh-QqjUYqnQ/видео.html If you want to see oldest video of their concerts, then a BBC recording is available which was first aired on 11 March, 1973. The link to the qawwali "Tashnagi Ko Jhinjhor Dete Hain" is here ruclips.net/video/yQeZ7ZgTNF0/видео.html Some more qawwalis of the same program and other BBC programs are uploaded on Tangible Emotions channel, please check them out: ruclips.net/video/KDYeH14ZVVQ/видео.html There are some more old recordings existing but are not available online.
@@mustafahusain589 It's difficult to tell about the audios because generally correct year is not mentioned on most of them. You have to rely on your experience of recognizing the younger voices of Sabri Bros to have an idea of the approx years. Officially, there is one 1965 movie Ishq e Habib with the qawwali Mera Koi Nahi Hai Tere Siwa, whose video is on RUclips (but Sabris dont appear in it). There are some old EP releases which you can find here with the year details: maqboolsabri.wordpress.com/discography/ Some old EPs of Ghulam Farid Sabri are missing out from this list as they are very rare and not easy to find. In addition, there are some old radio pak recordings on internet, probably of 60s but years are not mentioned anywhere officially and as I said you have to rely on your own assumption of the years.
I have now added English and Urdu subtitles to the introduction given in Norwegian by the announcer in the beginning.

This is first black and white recording of Sabri Brothers I am seeing. Amazing.
Yes, and this B&W recording looks very classy, much better than some colored ones at later times.

There's no more addition, it's only this qawwali that was recorded in the studio.

Yes, he was wonderful throughout except that he had some problem with coughing initially.

Since you are asking, I think you were in contact with that uploader. Can you tell the real name or any info about that person?
Can someone tell names of all members?

@@faisal_nl Yes, he was such a master player of dholak. The Sabri Bros were lucky to have him in their group.
