I've been using this retinol cream for a while now, everyone thinks it's a light retinol but no!Use it 3 times a week or every other day, always leave at least one day for skin regeneration because it will be red blotch like tretinoin! For dry and mature skin, use moisturizing cream first and then retinol or mix your cream and the retinol cream! The product is amazingly elastic to the skin and works wonders on hands !!Good luck!
Yes! Your skin does look lovely...i find when using Retin A, i don't peel or flake but, i do get a extremely dehydrated haggered look..then magically I will use a lactic acid or glycolic and my skin will feel and look fantastic.
I use this 3 times a week for the past 3 months and I’m getting good results...it can feel itchy so the trick is to leave a good hour between cleansing and toning before applying the cream so the skin is completely moisture free then it won’t irritate the skin xx
I love my A313 and wouldn’t be without it. It took a week or so in the beginning to get used to it. Now I only use it a few times a week and it takes very little so one tube will last forever. Good luck - hope it works out for you
I just wanted to say THANKYOU My dUght has suffer with acne for years Been on accutane but acne returned Bought this recently and within a week her skin is changing ! Thanks again x
I start using this cream 3 weeks ago and I have the lump in my eyes, no blood shots in the eyes. I though I over used so I stopped for a week and my skin went back to normal, very flaky.. Iean I scratch it and white flakes would come out like dandruff but then my skin feels super soft and I'm not new to Retinol because u have been using for more than a year "redermic intensive" by la Roche posay and is great with no irritation whatsoever so I agree with all your comments but I still don't know what to think to be honest with all of you!! xxx
Hi Karen! I too just started A313. I am only using it 2-3 times a week for now. I let my skin completely dry before applying. I must have really dry skin bc this seems to sink in and not be that greasy on me? I put vaseline or a lip balm on before applying this in hopes my lips won't dry out. :)
I love the day by day breakdown. I ordered this cream online in a spur of the moment thing without having seen any reviews. Then later I saw Dr Dray's review citing a study that it's nothing more than a placebo, does nothing. I decided to still use it. I think I left 1 or 2 days between usages, and then I noticed that my nose tip was peeling and that I had gotten a deep bump that I usually only get if I overdo the chemical exfoliation. So, I have reduced to using it only ever 4 days. I'm still trying to find a good regime. For something that supposedly does nothing, I thought I had an irritation reaction fairly fast.
I just bought my a313 off amazon and have been using it for about a week. I'm a little concerned because I don't feel anything when I put it on. I do put it on when my skin is completely dry, but I was expecting some sort of irritation based on what I've heard from others who have used it. So far, no irritation, no itchiness, no dryness... which is a GOOD thing, but my concern is that maybe I recieved a fake? It was sealed though. 🤷♀️
I get that lump, more like a mosquito bite kind of lump that goes away within a day. I don't get it all over my face but a spot also near my eye like above the cheek bone area.
I have been using this cream for about 7 days as well I have had absolutely no side effects I can't even really see any kind of peeling, but yet my skin does seem very smooth and very moist and I am over 50 and have not used a retin A of any kind prior.
Hi Karen , I've used different types of retinols but although this one is fairly Mild, It does penetrate deep into the skin so i have been using It 2-3 Times a week and thats enough for me and so far so good. I would suggest to try and do the same. For reference , i Am 37 with Combo-Dry skin
I also stopped antihistimines, my eyes got somewhat puffy / itchy with some under eye bags; which made me look older / more tired. I resumed the antihistimines, the bags went away with the puffiness and itchiness; so mine was not related to the A313. I use the A313 twice a week and my Retin A twice a week, 3 times a week I use a heavy duty moisturizer to counteract the dryness of the Tretinoin; have cut my antihistimines to every other night; may try again to discontinue use until April at least; normally it's super cold here in the Chicago suburbs now, we've had a mild winter so far, so I may need to continue through the winter this year, we'll see! Thanks for the video; it's interesting to hear how it goes with the A313; I think it's pretty decent, and I like the delivery system - seems to keep my skin moisturized while getting the benefits of the retinol.
Have you tried to put Cerave healing ointment on your lips and eyelids before applying this cream? It kind of shields your eyes and lips from the retinol.
Loved the review just started using the cream I like it so far no bad reactions to it .Going to keep using it .Ill let you know how it goes to .Thank you Karan
Hi I use tretinoin but I don't put it too near my eyes. I put it just above the eyebrow and to the top of my cheekbone as it irritated my eyes if used too close to. Try keeping it just above the orbital bone and see if that helps. On my leaflet it says not to use too near the lip or in the folds of the nose, so that may be why. I use a mild retinol around my eyes alpha h vit a 0.5% (really 0.3 when converted) which is doing fine with no issues apart from a little dryness and also on my neck/chest as the tretinoin was too strong for the more sensitive skin. Best wishes.
Hi Karen I too started to use this last week but have only used twice. I have used around a quarter pea size mixed with two pea sized amount of moisturiser and have had no reaction. I applied it all over my face but kept it well away from the eye and lip area. I have also used 5% lactic acid from the ordinary on the other nights. I will continue like this for a another couple of weeks before I move up to 3 times per week. I will have to go very slowly as my skin cannot seem to tolerate any of the retinoid products that I have tried before. Good luck
Hi Karen I have oily skin and use A313 more than 4 times a week and not experienced any irritation whatsoever. Thanks for the info as I couldn’t understand what the 20,000iu represents and also didn’t realise it’s an ester however, I still think it works and actually love the oily consistency. I saw a positive change in my skin after about only a couple of months so keep going! I also have The Ordinary 1% Retinol In squalane and sometimes mix both and apply- slight itch experienced but no irritation though. I only started using A313 as I’d read rave reviews on Avibon and this was advertised as the alternative and since I couldn’t get my hands on tretinoin it was my best bet. I want to ask though why did to switch to an Ester ( weakest form) when you were already on Tretinoin (the strongest form)? Just curious because I would happily swap my A313 for Tretinoin.
You have to make sure your skin is completely dry before applying the cream on. If you wash your face wait around 30 minutes for your skin to dry and then apply it or else an itchiness will occur.
Like other users have said... because you used it sooo much, so fast, it became irritating. I don't think it is meant to be used that frequently...that fast. That said, your skin is always sooooo gorgeous to me!
It wasn't the cream that was irritating - this is way too weak to need to be built up, HOWEVER, I DID build it up - I used it for one day then left it 4 days, then used it 2 days in a row and left it etc. This is the week after that - I don't count the testing for sensitivity phase in the results if that makes sense. It was my allergies causing most of the problems. Aww thanks! xx

I'm in France and bought a313 from a pharmacy here. It has no smell whatsoever. It does tingle a bit, but that's because I only wait about 5 minutes after I'm out of the shower to put it on. So, my face is likely not completely dry. The second time I tried it, I made the mistake of exfoliating with a mechanical scrubber just before. My face felt like it had fire ants biting it the entire night. BUT....when I woke up the next morning, before I washed my face, and looked in the mirror I could barely see any pores (it looked like someone had put a filter on my face!) and my skin felt incredibly soft. It was amazing! But, not worth the pain. So, to anyone using this stuff actually purchased from a French pharmacy, I recommend waiting to exfoliate with a mechanical scrubber after. I'm about 2 weeks in using it 3 times a week to fade freckles and a few wrinkles that have formed on my forehead. My face feels baby smooth in the morning every time I use it. I haven't seen much of a difference yet aside from that and the one morning I mentioned. But, from research that I've done I'm going to keep at it for at least a full 3 months. Cheers!
Hi dear long time no comment. I remember the hemorrhoid cream😂😂😂 Love the genetic lines or in my case undereye bags. Omg I took and handful of Niacin flush kind...my entire body turned beet red, burned, sweated! Hey, it's been very cold here in the Northeastern US and I've still been using my various retinols and super moisturizers. I had a freaky dry-cracked episode back in November for some bizarre reason. I couldn't help but kept licking which in turn makes them worse. I felt like a leper🚫 oh haven't had a migraine in months 🙏. Speaking of tans i am paste white and miss my tan. And ive dyed my hair red so I really look like a ghost lol Happy Holidays! Hey your skin is looking perfect.

Cheers!
V helpful. I'm starting mine this eve.
I'll stick with the retin a . a little to scared to use.
Why are you scared???
I use retin a .1 every night, no problems why change if it works?🤷🏻♀️

Hi dear long time no comment. I remember the hemorrhoid cream😂😂😂
Love the genetic lines or in my case undereye bags. And ive dyed my hair red so I really look like a ghost lol
Happy Holidays! Hey your skin is looking perfect.
I love watching Karen with coffee but my insomnia made me watch sooner.🤨
Every advice is never to start using this cream every day. No more than twice a week to start with.
Niacinamide makes you itchy too
Sounds like you had dry eyes
I do have dry eyes yes. x
