i guess im asking randomly but does anyone know a method to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the login password. I love any tricks you can give me.
@Oliver Davis I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
I have a window that is over 16 ft off the ground over the entry way door. Anything that can control the blinds is worth it. There's no way I'm going to climb a ladder every time I want to open the blinds.
I got a couple of these and at the time the solar kits were free which was nice. I got the Hub also giving you voice control. It’s a little expensive for this tiny hub. It’s easy to setup. It gives you voice control using Amazon Alexa or Google Voice. I’m a Siri HomeKit house, so I use Alexa built into my Ecobee 4 normally. I can also use Alexa voice control on my Apple Watch using a app and Siri Shortcuts. You don’t have to get a bunch of kits all at once. Buy 1 and see how it works for you, then buy a couple more later. So on and so on. It’s really nice for blinds that are kind of hard to get to and so you just never open and close it. Those are the type to start with and solar is recommended so you don’t have to charge it up every 6 months. Especially if it’s hard to get to. It can really make things nice for handicap/disabled people. One of a number of things you can do to smarten your house to make things easier. Some of the things I’ve done in my house my 71 year old Dad who lives at my house really likes. He has his own iPhone and can turn on/off lights. Open/close the garage door. Adjust the temp. All from his phone directly or using Siri. My garage door is linked to the garage lights so when the door starts opening, the garage lights come on giving out far more light then from the opener. When it closes the lights go back off. It’s so much better when it’s dark out. I don’t him to trip over something in a simi dark room. There are things that make sense to smarten up and other things that can be left alone. I added glow light switches for the bathrooms. That’s a cheap improvement that makes a big difference. Do what works best for your needs.
This looks great, but I have 15 ft wide x 8 ft tall windows with vertical blinds! Can you recommend any products that can automate them, or connect them to a Google Home setup? The few devices I've found which claim to work with variable length continuous loop chains have all received VERY negative reviews.
So, it's been over 1 year and curious on if you are still using them? Currently @$200 it is a bit pricey as in my situation I have 6 windows downstairs....😵 Do you think it was worth the investment and would you purchase them again? What are your pros and cons? THANKS!!!
*Question* My blinds don't have a rotating stick to open, they do so by pulling a cord (one cord for up & down & another for what would normally happen when rotating a stick). Can I use these? Thanks
Thank you for doing this video! This is a great option to be able to keep my current blinds and just automate one or two of them. I was wondering if the solar panels are visible/noticeable from the outside? I have an HOA that I have to worry about. This would be perfect to automate a blind just above a built in large bathtub. At it is currently, I have to climb over the bathtub every time I want to open/close the blinds there. Thanks!
If your hoa is gonna squable over a small solar panel. Then you need to tell them to screw off. You are going green and there is nothing wrong with that.
This stupid company took my money for several devices, then decided that they don’t ship outside the US. Obviously in today’s international world that is a very sensible approach lol, because that’s exactly how Amazon, Apple all operate of course. I am now in a situation where I can’t add to window that didn’t have motors. The lady I spoke to sandy was very disinterested and could not be bothered. The product is good, but the company behind it are idiots. They were very happy 5 years ago to accept money from everyone worldwide in crowd funding, now they are basically saying piss off world! Avoid them like the plague
This looks like such a piece of junk and it only fits those old 2" bulky out of style blinds. Plus it won't raise the blind. Not worth it AT ALL. Buy new blinds with factory installed automation. Glad this guy posted this video so I know what not to buy.
Will this work with blinds that have cords for tilt and not a tilt rod? My blinds have a cord to pull and it will adjust the tilt of the blinds and on the other side of the blinds i have another set of cords to draw the blinds. Will this work in my case?
I saw the "E-Wand" on Amazon recently. it can automatically turn a wand by replacing the original with one containing a motor, batteries, and remote receiver, but can't lift the shades. it also includes light and temp sensors. I haven't used it but it had generally favorable comments. it would be great to see a review of that item on this channel since Brett's reviews are thorough and well thought-out.
Sadly, they don't sell outside USA. I'm in Canada, still can't believe in 2023 that some online retailers restrict their business locally. So i purchase another product half the price instead of my first choice (this one)
Does these blinds automatically lower and raise via the app? Do the slats have to be fully lowered for the open and close feature to work or can you have them half raised and still work? Thanks
The MySmartBlinds Automation Kit is easy to install, setup and automate. Where will you use these in your home?
Tech With Brett does it integrate into the Google Home app and can it be controlled by Google Assistant?
in my room next to my bed

200 bucks for opening and closing the blinds is too much. I was expecting it to raise and lower the thing.

They make other products that do open the blinds for less. Screw this lol
Soma , looks more promising, and cheaper , don't even have to tear NOTHING apart.
@@onesimpletrick3448 - Please provide a link? I can only find smart curtains and other types of blinds but not for horizontal blinds like this is for.

I could do with this because i am in a wheelchair and cannot stand up

Great video very hopeful. All of your reviews have help me build my smart home. Thanks.

May sound obvious but they don’t go up and down ? Just tilt ? Is that all?
It's a 200 buck money sink.
I have 8 blinds and you are crazy to think I will pay 1,600 for the tilt only kits.
Hey do you have any trouble shooting videos for when the tilt doesn’t pair to your phone
Any chance you're going to be doing a review on the wifi bridge they now offer?
you were excellent in homeland
Great video, I need these in my life
Does it make a difference if my window does not have a tilt wand but has string instead?
So these are kind of loud when they open and close ?
Does this work with blinds that doesn't have a tilt rod? We have cords instead.
Dope. But too expensive for no HomeKit or Alexa or google assistant support yet.
they have a bridge now, for an additional 90$

I have the same things. And was wondering that myself

This was soooo helpful thank you
Does it fit the cheap blinds sold by wal-mart?
Think I'll get up off my arse and manually tilt my blinds at that price 😱
Does the kit come with batteries??

Me too and the solar panel looks dumb
Could be a dumb question..is the battery rechargeable??
Do you know of any like this that will work with cordless blinds?
When you say the battery lasts for up to 6 months does that mean I need to replace it every 6 months or it will hold a charge for 6 months?
It's rechargable. That's what the micro USB port is for.
Will this work with blinds that have cords for tilt and not a tilt rod? My blinds have a cord to pull and it will adjust the tilt of the blinds and on the other side of the blinds i have another set of cords to draw the blinds. Will this work in my case?
There are Kits for mini Blinds and roll shades? Link please
Do you know of any automation kits for those metal blinds that are inside windows?
They have a tilt rod and a separate pull cord for lifting them up.

What did you end up going with?
Here for the fire sale at $20/ea, I'll buy 20 units. At 200+ a pop, this is redic.
Kit have RC or just wifi operation?
I'm in Ireland where can i buy this product it's not available in the amazon store ?
Me waiting for this to arrive on AliExpress!
Still waiting lol
Is there a monthly subscription fee for the my blinds service
Nick Edens Nope! It just runs of Bluetooth so no fee required.
Tech With Brett Oh ok thought maybe they would change u since your account keeps track of all your settings and adjustments
this uses bluetooth?? so every time i want to control it, i have to use the phone, cant control via computer?
You can also just pull the tilt wand.
Good video!
So you can't add a group on the phone so you can open them as a group with the phone you have to get the switch separately be able to make groups?
Sorry if that was not clear. You can switch the entire group on the phone by room. The switch just makes it easy from across the room.
Gotcha. That makes me happy. This sounds great then!
So... you'll need to buy one unit per window blind basically... how does this work with double window blinds?
Yes you would need one unit per blind rod. So if your double windows use two separate rods it will require 2 devices.
my blinds are heavy and wood, will this be able to lift them up?
This only tilts them. It doesn't lift up or lower them. Its stupid expensive 😫
is it right that you have ever made a video about the MySmartBlinds?
Yes I did about buying a new blind with this already installed. You can check it out here: ruclips.net/video/t7kBpHFrark/видео.html
and could you ever review something dutch? because i'm dutch
$160 for those wondering.
An extra $60 for the solar pannel.
I want this
Can you not lift them?
No, only tilt them. (probably why this company is called tilt)
look at ikea Block-out roller blind, wireless 👍
Hopefully smart curtains become mainstream soon. This isn't sufficient for my standards =/
Does it run on Bluetooth and wifi? Can it be connected to/ran with my Google Home?
It is controlled via Bluetooth and soon there will be a bridge available that will allow you to control it with the Google Home.
Tech With Brett could you please do a quick follow up video when the wifi bridge comes out showing us how to connect and setup ☺👊
Lucas Giles I totally will. It will be out in a few weeks.
Tech With Brett LEGEND 👌
i love your videos :)
Thanks for watching!
$200 per kit. $1000 per room. Way more than a little pricey.
I need to make an account to open my blinds, huh? I'm out.
It doesn't raise and lower the blinds???
No not these. They are only able to open and close.
Does these blinds automatically lower and raise via the app? Do the slats have to be fully lowered for the open and close feature to work or can you have them half raised and still work? Thanks
The lowering and raising is all done manually. There is no automation there. You could have them tilted and still raise them up light a normal blind.
i need a ring doorlock
Zwave blinds
Stop watching this video. Discontinued with poor support
Thanks, I want to automate my blinds. I guess. I'll keep looking. Regards.

Wow! You are handsome!
🌄 Brett 😊!

way toooooooooooooooooooooo expensive
Most smart blinds are 300-500 per blind. Honestly really cheap
i subsribed but help me setup tv and kid earbuds cvc
