yes the weeds that I once hated are now my friends, been doing jadam for just over a year and with good results. Great Video! great explanation as well.
Just the person I was looking for. Been doing JADAM several years. My background: Chinese, no official schooling. I dont know how to do any math. I bought Cho's book and understand nothing 😂. In frustration I just started throwing in everything into 30 gallon reservoirs. Live biomass, clippings, ground up branches, end of season biomass, fruit, vegan worm castings. Letting it sit six months before use. Dilution at 1-1/2c per gallon of water. Has worked really well except for citrus which needs more nitro so I need to make a dedicated nitrogen fert using only citrus leavings. Could you have a desire to go thru the book and give us % of his ingredients for small batches...maybe starting JMS solution? I mean, he has probably several dozen recipes in the book....I would like to get more serious with this. I am vegan...my farm consists of fruits, nuts, Chinese produce and TCM plants. Loved the video.....thank you for the time you took to make this video. 😊
Thank you I’m glad my video was helpful. With needing to make a more nitrogen rich fertilizer you might want to use some else besides citrus leaves, they are pretty waxy and are harder/ slower to break down. It can be done I would just expect it to take a lot longer. You could use just grass clipping in one reservoir and that should be a good rich nitrogen fertilizer. I do plan on making more videos about jadam I love this growing method, Thank you again.
@@WarGardensForVictory Thank you so much…..looking forward to more videos from you . That is true about the citrus. The good thing is that all my citrus is harvested in March…..then I give them some organic cotton meal thru the summer as the fruit forms….so I can start now with citrus leaf JADAM then add the Spring wild flower biomass and cover crop biomass and as I live in the desert, it should be ready by fall to assist in feeding the growing fruit. And just a heads up if anyone is interested. I have been growing Chinese yam and it has been a much better crop than potatoes. Needs very little care, no pests, drought resistant. I grow it in air pots and at the end of the season, the greens go in the JADAM reservoir…undo the fasteners on the air pots, and voila, no work harvesting. You can get tubers at Strictly Medicinal Seeds online.
Young weeds are the best because they have a higher level of nutrients stored in them. That’s why micro greens are so good for you, because of the high level of nutrients stored in them.
Throw in anything that is green and growing, use filtered water to remove chlorine, let sit for 6 months and dilute 10:1 4 liters or 5 gallons gives 500 gallons of nearly free fertelizer...For any one plant collect leaves for that one plant. I pull weeds and trim ornamental plants for my green material.
So the blue barrel would be anaerobic then - and the fruit would ferment with water - and would get stronger the longer you leave it (& therefore need diluting more?) Is that right?
I started mine last winter so it's ready, I find that it burns my plants. Using at a rate of 2 table spoons per 2 gallon water can. I have grasses, weeds, flowers, leaf mold, molasses, mushrooms from my wood chip pile, Epson salt, comfrey, etc.. Any suggestions ?
Molasses will cause the bacteria to take explode in population. I would try 1/2 a tablespoon per gallon of water and then see how it goes, if you don’t see results go up.
if it burn..means u need to delute it more..its not becoz jadam not works..so dont throw your jadam..lets say u just delute it 1:10 n still burn..u need to try 1:15 1:20 or any ratio until it not burn
@@ByteFuse1 thanks, I didn't throw out in fact I made another one for flowers. Think I probably used too often, watching others say they use once a week, I no I can't do that.
I know you can make JLF out of the flowers I am not sure about the stems. I think you can use the leafs as well. I just cut my leaf’s and stock up really small and use it as a mulch around the bananas.
I'd like to use jadam liquid fertalizer into my lawn. Planning to use weeds, etc. Will the weed seeds survive the jadan process. Don't want weeds in my lawn, but just the nutrition.

@@raczykYou might want to research more what I call alternative methods of growing. Weeds are your friends. They provide a home for a balanced ecosystem, protection against soil temperature extremes, mulch, erosion and top soil control, and will hold the water in the soil. Those are just a few examples. Let the weeds grow. Keep them trimmed ankle high or lower with a weed whacker. You will notice a huge difference in your crop health. Trust Nature. Everything that is growing on your property is there for a reason. Your task is to identify the so called weeds and research what those weeds functions are. For example, one year we had huge fields of wild mustard show up. Mustard takes up toxins from the soil and converts them to beneficial nutrients that balance the toxins that were there. Why did the mustard show up? Because we had a severe five year drought here in California. The mustard converted the over abundance of salts and arsenic build up.
Have u ever done lab test of this fertilizer ?? There is a channel name garden fundamentals who prooved that there is no nutrient or very minimal nutrient in this liquid
@@Ultimatefitness360 I have not lab tested it. For me if it’s working, it doesn’t need fixing and it doesn’t need to be lab tested to know, it’s already working. I have a hard to believing that there is little to no nutrients in it. Organic matter is made up of proteins and then it gets broken down and eaten by microbes and then they release that back to the plant. Maybe the testing being done on it isn’t the right type off testing or ,Anne we don’t have testing to understand it yet. But we do know as things break down in soil they feed the plants so why would that not work being in water? Our gut is doing the same thing anaerobicly. Hopefully this didn’t come off rude. Just trying to explain how I think about it.
I have never had an issue with it being to acidic, but once you dilute it down with water it will bring the pH back up. Even if it was at a 2 or 2.5 diluting it down to a 10:1 and your waters at a 7 pH. It would still be about a 6.5ish pH. Or you could add in some egg shells and that will drop the pH but you will have to wait a while for the shells to break down and bring the pH up.
@@WarGardensForVictory yea. I’m running another fresh batch with bone meal. I ran a ph, tds, and npk on it. It was very acidic, 1700 ppm, surplus n, sufficient k, and depleted p.

True, some of my other videos have results from the past but I should do an update.
The live takes are phenomenal 😂

That is right on the money.
Can you jadam just worm castings? Or maybe addin only worm casting and fish emulsion?
Worm castings are more aerobic so putting them in water for months will kill off a lot of the beneficial microbes.
