I knew you wouldn't have too much trouble. My father swapped in a 283 into a Willys CJ5 in 1960 after he had blown up 2 original motors under warranty. He liked to drive fast. He put larger tires on the front and left it in 4wd high most of the time. He was working for a coal company and most of the eastern KY roads were not paved. He really surprised the town gear heads when the light turned green. Too bad that Willys built them out of rust, I would still have it.
