Super Video Chris! Had great time paddling with you. And nice job catchin the Jumping Sturgeon action. Looking forward to returning after the rainy season with lower water levels for a fishing and sandbar wild camp trip.

For this trip I left my vehicle at the outfitter's location. They drove me to the put in and came to pick me up from the take out. We scheduled a time for the pick up, but I got there early and when I called they sent the driver out.

What a great adventure. I could tell immediately that the water was high. How high? How was the temperature being June? Buggy. I'm planning to paddle this river but will wait for lower water levels and cooler temps. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! When we launched the gauge at White Springs was at 58.5 ft. I don't remember the temperature being too bad during the day once we were on the water and I sleep in a hammock so I was comfortable at night.

What a wonderful trip! We live in Dowling Park, Fl. ONLY Verizon works here, that's why you couldn't get cell service. Across from the camp you stayed at is Advent Christian Village. It's the oldest retirement community in Florida. There is a place to dock and stairs up to the Village. ACV has a grocery store, a restaurant, a dining hall that serves a hot lunch everyday, a deli, a post office, hair salon and a bank. There is also a hotel, right on the Suwannee, if someone wanted a break from camping and a night in a nice room! Theres even a gym, pools and a laundomat to use, if you stay at the hotel.

How much water you are taking with you? Can you refill it along the way?

I don't remember how much I took with me on this trip, but there is potable water at each of the campsites. When I did my full river through paddle I brought 3-4 Nalgenes and an MSR Guardian water purifier. I filtered most of the water I drank that trip.

Sub #32 here. I share your appreciation for these rivers. Maybe we'll bump into each other some day on the water.
