Right, I wish I had a basement like that. I think my other neighbors in my apartment building wouldn't be happy if I started tumbling and cutting rocks in my basement. I wish I could.

Awesome rocks you polished Elmer. So different than what I have around here.

You should look up Michigan Rocks here on You Tube. Rob has videos for every question you have regarding machines, grits, polishes, everything. Don't miss him. Tell him one of his students sent you.

I enjoy tumbling miscellaneous stones I've picked up. Glacial till beds are harvested around here and used for road gravel so you never know what you'll see. Fossils, petrified wood, quartz, basalt, and stuff I can't even identify because I don't know that much about geology. But what you've got is similar to what I get. Thanks for posting.

Many rocks on the beach I frequent are dumped there by the Town to protect the low lying areas behind them. One beach the rock pile is 10 feet above a 12 ft tide. A dike made of stones at least 50 years old and added to every so often depending on storm damage. So exactly where the stone originate comes into question. And I see Great Lake rock pickers with many of the same rocks we have here. I have polished many unique beach stones.

It was all downhill from this moment on. Barrel and bearing failure, caused me to repair barrel and rebuild tumbler. Then basel Cell cancer has been cut out of back. so no nothing for two weeks. Just a day in the life. Enjoy them all!

I heard that you really can't find obsidian east of the Mississippi. I have found black onyx in our area though. One piece has white and yellow inclusions. Awesome video. Please make more. Thanx
