The creators don’t know much English. I saw them speak English before but it was scripted and they had a very french accent so I doubt that it’s their real instagram.

They’re french from France (making it easy for them to do a story in Paris). French people are known not to know much English except for a few who still struggle with it like Squeezie. I like to think that their Miraculous have some kind of Glamour effect that makes it impossible (unless they are told) to make the connection. An 'on the tip of my tongue' kinda thing. Hawkmoth's powers however, are to give people powers so they can fight for him and doesn't have the same Glamour effect to protect his Akumas from being recognised. Which makes sense. All Hawkmoth cares about is getting the Miraculous, he doesn't care if his victims get recognised and into trouble.
