been a while since i used linux but i'm pretty you can change res size using the terminal on any DE running with Xorg by using "xrandr --output (your screen output name) --mode 1920x1080 (or any other res)"

@@NickEh30VSFanFNFMod if you try arch remember to install it with the archinstall script and add to the part that says "additional packages to install" the packet names "chromium firefox flatpak gnome-software" and also remember to control the screen resolution by using xrandr instead of always looking for the way ti change it in the GUI
