Stellar Blade looks great. The characters' design, the gameplay, and soundtrack it's a whole vibe. I can't wait for this one super excited. No rest for the wicked also looks interesting. Definitely will play it.
Some pretty interesting games this month. Thanks for the breakdown! If I had a PS5, Stellar Blade would be at the top of the list, but Sandland would definitely be right there with it. R.I.P. Akira Toriyama!
Great month for Metroidvanias. Zau; Sheba: a New Dawn; Biomorph; also 2 early Access launches (Biogun and Ender Magnolia) Stellar Blade looks neat, but I'll be waiting for a PC release. Based on the demo, I'm probably most excited about Ereban: Shadow Legacy, because it's just a nice old-school stealth game with a few neat twists on the powers. I'm one of those that played the demo, and it was fun. Bygone Dreams also has an "April 2024" release date on Steam, and that was a fun demo. The mechanics are soulsy action-RPG, but you were actually doing a bunch of cool action-adventure stuff like puzzles and combat challenges to unlock the boss room. It's got a neat vibe. The recent FGS preview for No Rest For the Wicked gave me big Darksiders Genesis vibes with the exploration stuff. Which actually makes me more curious than a pure diablo clone would be.
Stellar Blade is pretty much a mix of Nier Automata and a souls game (definitely more than Bayonetta or DMC...). The game feels very polished, the gameplay is good, the vibes are good and the music is godly. I'm very impressed to be honest.
I agree, I need a slow month as well. Just grabbed Dragons Dogma 2, Rise of Ronin and Alone in the Dark. Waiting for June to get here, the Elden Ring DLC will be the next purchase, not much really catching my eye until then.
Wow, a new Topspin. So many good memories playing the first 2 games on the Xbox. One of the first games I played online on console and I played it A LOT!
There's definitely a couple I'm going to keep my eye on and see how they do at launch. As someone who played a lot of point and click in my past, Harold Halibut is the main one but Broken Roads could be interesting.
I'm not sure if I'll get to any of these given all of the stuff that ended up releasing in March, but there's good looking stuff here. I don't' think I have seen Sandland before, but an ARPG with tanks sounds like something I'd be interested in. And I suppose I'll just wait out the PS5 exclusivity on Stellar Blade... because who doesn't love delayed gratification.
Your monthly roundup games are my favourite on RUclips. Just thought you should now. They're diverse and you usually include more smaller games and less of the super obvious AAA games everyone knows about
2 more April indies worth a shout: Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes and Another Crab’s Treasure! Both have had some buzz here and there but are largely flying under the radar just weeks away from release but I’m excited to check em out
Just wanted to say, I really appreciate these little videos. I always have my steam wishlist updated after them and because of these videos in the past I have had some absolute surprises like Banishers that have blown me away.
I like the post-apocalyptic setting starting a gorgeous protagonist with a sword. The combat looks smooth and the visuals are amazing, looking forward to this one.
Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin are on my wait list for PC release (unless the PS5 demo wows me), Broken Roads and No Rest for the Wicked are 100% getting nabbed along with Dead Island 2 on Steam if it comes in at a decent price. Not like Dragon's Dogma 2 and Horizon Forbidden West on PC are keeping me too busy at all...
Broken Roads looks amazing and reminds me of one of my favorite games ever made ''Disco Elysium''. My birthday month May, will get my most anticipated game from the PS4 Pro era ''Ghost of Tsushima''. It is finally happening, and I can't wait!
Ghost of Tsushima finally coming out in May!! 😮 and they’ll probably add a performance patch to Dragon’s Dogma 2 around then. I get to buy two games in one month!
I'm looking forward to checking out the Stellar Blade demo. Visually it looks awesome. I'm hoping the gameplay is there. No Rest For the Wicked looks pretty cool too, but I'll be waiting for that to be out of early access before checking it out.
Pretty interested in a few titles here: 1) stellar blade 2 that first game shown 3) gigantic - may want to give this a go again. 4) no rest for the wicked - I hope this comes out on console.
Stellar Blade has my full attention. Might check out the demo of Sand Land because of the late influential Akira Toriyama (RIP). Hell im probably gonna get Sand Land out of respect 🙏🏾
I really like this video -- you cover a lot of this month's best games in a way that I really find interesting and focused, with a welcome sense of humor. You're only missing more coverage of Japanese games, but maybe that's due to your personal tastes. I'll check out your podcasts! Here are my own Top 15 for April: 1. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes 2. Stellar Blade 3. Sand Land 4. Harold Halibut 5. SaGa Emerald Beyond 6. Freedom Planet 2 7. Megaton Musashi W: Wired 8. Tales of Kenzera ZAU 9. Girl Genius 10. Botany Manor 11. El Shaddai remaster 12. Saviorless 13. Broken Roads 14. Minishoot' Adventures 15. Sophia the Traveler
Stellar Blade and No Rest for the Wicked are my most anticipated titles for the month of April. Solid work, Karak! Thanks, again! God bless and stay safe!
The stellar blade demo has somewhat the aesthetic and lonely atmosphere of Nier automata but the combat of dmc5/sekiro, it even reminded at times of lies of p with how the deflect system worked. Either way it was fun as hell.
Karak, Thank you for another great video, my man. I am curious as to if you have seen any previews for "Another Crab's Treasure"? I saw a small trailer on the last Nintendo Direct and that game looks so intriguing to me. It's supposed to be releasing this month too.
Have April 18th-21st off work for No Rest for the Wicked. Moon Studios is one of my all time beloved studios and I have been waiting for their next project for over 5 years!!! Gna be epicn
Other than stellar blade I'll be working away on my backlog... Which just got bigger since I bought a couple 3DS systems to mod. I did pre-order stellar blade though, which I never do.
Getting stellar blade and thats pretty much it game wise untill the ffxiv expansion, this year now becomes a backlog adventure unless one of the games i put off buying because of rebirth goes on a big sale like p3r
Amazed you didn't mention Manor Lords, probably one of the most hyped games for RTS/total war/town sim players of this year. It's got 2million + wishlists on steam, releases April 26th.
I personally am hoping Pine Harbor does great. Not a fan of early access as I tend to not return to them once released fully but I want this game to succeed.
You can always tell the youtubers that put together these top Aptil games list, those that never player Suikoden. Eyuden Chronicles and Dragons Dogma 2 were the 2 games I was really looking forward tp this year.
made the decision of giving more attention to my huge backlog of unfinished games, so only thinking of getting half a dozen games this year. For April- No rest for the Wicked is on my radar and save Sand Land for later, or the other way around since no rest is early access. but Tales of Kenzera and Ereban look nice to check out later.
Everyone and their mothers talk about No Rest For The Wicked like there's nothing of the sort out there, yet NOBODY seems to have noticed another game called Achilles: Legends Untold. Look it up and thank me later 😊
Drowning in my desire for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes dropping on April 23rd, been waiting since 2020 for this one. Suikoden successor with the HD-2D treatment? Yes, please! A fantastic list as well, learned a few here. I'm not normally a fan of Dark Souls style games mostly because I just don't have the patience after work to learn to git gud, but No Rest For the Wicked is going on the wishlist for sure! (Where it will probably stay until it's out of Early Access, cause man am I so tired of the EA rollercoaster ride everyone seems to be so addicted to.) Seriously my favorite & go-to reviewer on RUclips, keep up the great work!
Thats a bummer Stellar Blade was on my list, but its console exclusive. Only 3 games ide buy a PS5, and it's not still not worth it. No hate, just strapped for cash these days. Too the back logs till May.
Did not like the demo of Zau. If you’re looking for a great metroidvania, get the new Prince of Persia game. Now the demo for Stellar Blade was great, if you like parry heavy action games. I’m just happy demos are making a comeback. Also, it’s not an April game, but Pepper Grinder just released on Steam and Switch and is a lot of fun. Highly recommend it.
Really hoping Top Spin is good. Still play the Xbox 360 version when friends come over and it is always fun but annoying to prep 4 controllers with batteries 😅
Really hoping they add NG+ to Dead Island 2 with the new DLC, or at least give some update, devs hinted at them working on it when the game launched but... I don't know, maybe they've abandoned it since.
Ffvii rebirth, helldivers 2, dragons dogma 2, rise of the ronin and stellar blade. Ps5 is the killing it ( i know d2 is not exclusive but had to mention it as its one of the biggest games of the year)
I'm here for stellar blade, for sure. Gotta support the devs not afraid to focus on what matters in video games... assets. Ungodly assets. It's a dying asspect thanks to cancel culture.
Biggest game of April is my 2023 backlog lol
Same here. I'm never going to catch up. LOL
Bro my backlog is insane 🤣🤣🤣.
I'm gonna be busy this summer
Yup me too
@@topcover7390 Same, I’ve had a backlog since 2017
Bro fr. They think we can just afford $400 a month. At $70 a pop I get like 4 a year
Stellar Blade looks great. The characters' design, the gameplay, and soundtrack it's a whole vibe. I can't wait for this one super excited. No rest for the wicked also looks interesting. Definitely will play it.
No doubt Stellar Blade and No Rest for the Wicked are the highlights of this April's release.
Yeah, except Early access is not a release.
The sad reality of game release nowadays - if not bugs & patches required, it’s on early access.
yes doubt, its Manor Lords :D
@@steamfeuverthis is true. However, it doesn’t take away from the excitement! I for one made time for April 18th-21st just for NRFTW. GLHF!
yup
Stellar is only ps crap thou
I’m looking forward to Eiyuden Chronicle : 100 heroes, Stellar Blade, Saga Emerald Beyond and Sandland (RIP Akira Toriyama)
Have you played the Sandland demo? I found it to be sadly underwhelming.
@@quintint3973 Not yet, too busy with other stuff.
Still blows my mind that Gigantic is making a comeback.
Ya its crazy
Thanks for this. Idk HOW I forgot Stellar Booty was coming out in April 😅
Hell ya
Shout out for Eiyuden Chronicle. RIP Yoshitaka Maruyama
Great list but you missed Manor Lords! Coming April 26 to Steam by Slavic Magic
You complete me sir...and this list
Eyuden Chronicles is honestly the game I want most.
Some pretty interesting games this month. Thanks for the breakdown!
If I had a PS5, Stellar Blade would be at the top of the list, but Sandland would definitely be right there with it.
R.I.P. Akira Toriyama!
Agreed!
No Rest for the Wicked Baby. Looking forward to this one.
I loved the demo for Stellar Blade, I’m sold on it.
Great month for Metroidvanias. Zau; Sheba: a New Dawn; Biomorph; also 2 early Access launches (Biogun and Ender Magnolia)

Eiyuden Chronciles gonna be such a sleeper hit sad it's not getting great recognition!
Stellar Blade is pretty much a mix of Nier Automata and a souls game (definitely more than Bayonetta or DMC...). The game feels very polished, the gameplay is good, the vibes are good and the music is godly. I'm very impressed to be honest.
No rest ffor the wicked is what peaked my interest the most.. especially coming from moon studios.. loved Ori games!
April is going to be easy on the wallet, nothing I feel like I need to get right away. Well... back to playing Helldivers 2. Thanks for the video ACG!
Have fun!
I agree, I need a slow month as well. Just grabbed Dragons Dogma 2, Rise of Ronin and Alone in the Dark. Waiting for June to get here, the Elden Ring DLC will be the next purchase, not much really catching my eye until then.

April must haves for me: No Rest for the Wicked and Sand Land.
April maybe: Stellar Butt
Some low key bangers coming out this month

I love what I see of "Broken Roads", very kool!
2 more April indies worth a shout: Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes and Another Crab’s Treasure! Both have had some buzz here and there but are largely flying under the radar just weeks away from release but I’m excited to check em out
Dude random claymores is the only way I would watch a tennis match.
Been waiting for Broken Roads since the first time it was mentioned on your channel. At last, the wait is nearly over.
Tennis while placing claymores on the court would be fun to watch!
Just wanted to say, I really appreciate these little videos. I always have my steam wishlist updated after them and because of these videos in the past I have had some absolute surprises like Banishers that have blown me away.
Broken Road looks really interesting
I like the post-apocalyptic setting starting a gorgeous protagonist with a sword. The combat looks smooth and the visuals are amazing, looking forward to this one.
How the hell have I missed Harold Halibut until now? The animation in that game is INCREDIBLE.
Another Crab’s Treasure looks weirdly awesome too.
So excited for Harold Halibut, looks like a lot of love went into it.
the art style had me adding it to my wishlist
Outside of Stelar Blade. It’s going to be a good month to finally start FF7R.
Man, I've been waiting for Broken Roads for so long!!! It's finally here tomorrow.
The part about waiting for the relative to leave so true😭
Broken Roads looks amazing and reminds me of one of my favorite games ever made ''Disco Elysium''.
My birthday month May, will get my most anticipated game from the PS4 Pro era ''Ghost of Tsushima''.
It is finally happening, and I can't wait!
Yet again smaller games and smaller studios shine. I hope Broken Roads deliver. Seems right up my alley.
Ghost of Tsushima finally coming out in May!! 😮 and they’ll probably add a performance patch to Dragon’s Dogma 2 around then. I get to buy two games in one month!
Now I want Mutant League Tennis with "claymore" courts.
We all do...we all do

I'm looking forward to checking out the Stellar Blade demo. Visually it looks awesome. I'm hoping the gameplay is there. No Rest For the Wicked looks pretty cool too, but I'll be waiting for that to be out of early access before checking it out.
Thank you ACG
No, mention of Eiyuden Chronicle: 100 Heroes
Pretty interested in a few titles here:
1) stellar blade
2 that first game shown
3) gigantic - may want to give this a go again.
4) no rest for the wicked - I hope this comes out on console.
No Rest for the Wicked is *definitely* coming to consoles later. This is just the early access on PC launch.
I actually want a slow release period for a while anyway. March was crazy. Already got a backlog that'll take me through to about July.
Stellar Blade has my full attention. Might check out the demo of Sand Land because of the late influential Akira Toriyama (RIP). Hell im probably gonna get Sand Land out of respect 🙏🏾
Great content on games to come. Many unheard of games here we don’t get from other content creators 👍 keep it up
Thanks, will do!
I've been looking forward to Broken Roads for a while now, so it's at the top of my list.
Backlog month for me but I'll keep an ear to the ground for Mr. Hallibut and Sandland to see if I had them to my wishlist or not.
Man i hope stellar blade is good and not just a jiggle machine
I thought it was going to be like a Tales of Arise or Beseria type of title, I'll pass on that but looking forward to Stellar Blade!

Stellar Blade and No Rest for the Wicked are my most anticipated titles for the month of April. Solid work, Karak! Thanks, again! God bless and stay safe!
There has been no advertisement of Sand Land, at least that I've seen. I hope it's really really good.
Somewhere out there there's a Kotaku employee who's crying that they have to review Stellar Blade because there's an attractive female in it.
The stellar blade demo has somewhat the aesthetic and lonely atmosphere of Nier automata but the combat of dmc5/sekiro, it even reminded at times of lies of p with how the deflect system worked. Either way it was fun as hell.
Stellar Blade has the best, perfectly round graphics I've seen lately...
I am glad Gigantic is coming back
Karak, Thank you for another great video, my man. I am curious as to if you have seen any previews for "Another Crab's Treasure"? I saw a small trailer on the last Nintendo Direct and that game looks so intriguing to me. It's supposed to be releasing this month too.
