Good Luck with your new base in San Francisco but you'll still live in Chicago and I like your video Bri it's beautiful.

That's awesome Bri!! SFO is so pretty, I've seen many plane spotters film out there and I just love how those birds land and take off side by side. So I guess "line" is just another term for schedule. Also...CONGRATS on 1000 subs!!! 🥂 😃

Yess! Such a great place to plane spot! Line is what we call a set schedule whereas reserve means on call. Thank you so much!! 😊

Good luck on the new base. I live in SF, so hopefully I'll run into you at the airport one of these days.

Hey! I recently was granted a transfer to SFO, and was wondering if you could answer a few questions about that base :)

First view 😊 love your vlogs girl!!!❤❤❤❤
Commute from Chicago to SFO you'll be travelling as a pax? If even your base is SFO you said you'll be picking some trips from Chicago, is that possible?
Can you tell more about the below
    1. Crash pads with website link
    2. On international layover, do you exchange currency, what about mobile data? Get international roaming?

I think as a line holder you can pick up outside of base - reserve can't (I **Think** that is the rule
      1. Most of that is internal pin up boards in crew room or word of mouth
      2. Most carry a small amount of local currency - the BEST way to get it is an ATM machine - typically best conversion rates etc - NEVER EVER use those currency kiosks in the airport - they make the mafia look like a legit business. I have my "Travel pouch" and it has the 8-10 currencies for countries I travel to the most - 25-50$ of each currency.

      @@kennethfeld6639 thank you ☺️

Yes, this is all correct! Only lineholders can pick up out of base and it cannot be more than 14 hours before departure time in order to pick the trip up.
There are multiple groups on Facebook for crashpads you can also join. Just be careful because some people are scammers. Definitely check the pin up boards in crew rooms.
My mobile data plan includes international. I never use my phone for calls though, always just texts.

How much do crashpads usually cost? I guess it varies a lot?

    • @briswanderlust
      @briswanderlust  10 месяцев назад

It does vary based on location! I’ve seen them as low as $200 up to $500.
