I dont know IIf I want a hole video for Curtis, but I do recall seeing his arc play out and just be uncomfortable with it. I just didnt agree with the story and development he got. And I especially didnt like the ending he got. With the current climate an what I know now, Im doubling down on this opinion and I think if they did adapt it in america, they would/shouldve made a lot of changes for him.
@@Cothica100 Curtis is the texbook definition of "mishandled" he was my favorite character in season 1 and was still alright in season 2...then his life just gets worse and worse!

No one ever talks about this show but it's such a treasure.
The original cast was SO GOOD I saw a lot of people saying tgey stopped watching after most of the original cast wasn't there anymore, which is understandable. But this video made me want to watch it again hehe.

People keep incorrectly saying Simon turns invisible, but it's more that he becomes unnoticeable. Even when he shouts in their face, he goes unheard.

So interesting for you to start with that scene where Nathan tells Curtis "you let yourself down". The glee on his face when he realizes he was never foolish enough to have dreams and therefore he'll always have one up on someone who dares to dream. Really sad actually.
Awesome analysis, pretty much spot on with everything. I always thought of Nathan's power being reflective of his personality in a couple ways, the one you mentioned, and also the fact that he's relentlessly annoying (which his power also reflects if you think about it). I also think season 3 is worth watching tbh, that's the definitive end of the original characters arcs.
When he got struck all he wanted was to remain young and emotionally invincible forever
I don't know if you plan to make misfits stuff into a series like victorious but this show seems perfect for those type of analysis vids.

Yesssssss, I was not expecting this but I’m so happy it happened, Nathan is my absolute favourite character and misfits it’s such an underrated show!!
Rewatching it now and remembering how much I laughed at the inappropriate bits, especially Nathan who is one of the most realistic teens I’ve encountered on screen.

Nathan technically did meet Rudy, in the short where Nathan goes to Las Vegas he calls the community center and Rudy picks up, although personally I don't think they would've gotten along, I think Nathan is TOO much of a p**ck for Rudy, especially Rudy later on when he becomes more calm.

I remember when I spent two weeks having an internal debate over watching MisFits or not. Though I stopped when Robert stopped being in it. After the original cast left, it felt kind of weird honestly. I loved this character analysis btw

Few days late to the party on this one, but I've been so excited to finally find the time to watch this! I love Nathan so much, such a well done character and he is genuinely funny in an obscene way. I'd love more Misfits content from you.

In what might be an unpopular opinion: I actually think Rudy was funnier than Nathan. And you certainly have to give Joe Gilgun props for his performance as all versions of the character.

I did watch up until season 3 episode 1 and decided I didn't want to bother with the rest by that point. Might change my mind and go back to it at some though and give the other seasons another shot.

Nathan was the driving character for me. After S2 it just wasn't the same anymore.

I loved the first 2 or 3 seasons of Misfits. I stopped after the new main characters appeared.
Mad respect, but I disagree about the "don't watch after season 2" bit.
Season 3 is still very solid, and, while i know it's controversial, rudy and rudy too were such brilliant characters that i stayed with the show mostly for them until the end.
Abby was also a good addition, but that may be my primitive male brain talking because the actress is absolutely beautiful.
Finn was fun enough at times, Alex and Jess were just bland.
