Great. Thanks for commenting. Nice to speak to someone who actually used it for what it was made. What exactly did you carry in this bag? What was kept I. The inner sleeve?
@@Vildmark I don’t remember having anything special in the inner sleeve. Perhaps toiletries and small stuff. I have e-mailed you a pack plan and some pictures.
At 8:51 you show the water bottle, is that the exact bottle that was paired with that pouch? I was always told it was a plastic canteen that went with the pouch. I just want to know so that I order the right one for my set.
Good video. Just looking at one of those packs just as a bit of a project to mod myself. I like the idea of it. Can I ask, did you do any seam sealing after sewing the pouches on?
It’s not so difficult. What I would say is bro g the pouches a little lower than what I have done. As they are a little high when the bags lid is closed. Line up the pouch and I think the rivets are called Chicago rivets (or something like that) then buy a leather sewing awl. I’ll see if I can find a link.

@@Vildmark Thank you very much. I thought it weighed a bit. I replaced the frame with an aluminum one because of the weight. Now I'm looking for some lightweight pockets. Have a nice weekend.
Vildmark - I’m just being anal. My LK35 arrived yesterday! Fitted new straps and belt from ALICE rucksack, now looking to try and get some zips for rocket pouches, some more mounting points for small pouches, and loops for my axe. Loved your content. 👍👍
You what? I'm a bloke and I'd not want my Dryer used with Linseed Oil and Waxed items! You'd never get the stink out for one ... and for seconds, I do hope you used RAW Linseed Oil and NOT Boiled. BLO ( Is also highly flammable ) - & contains carcinogens called Japan Dryers to accelerate the drying process - not stuff you want near Family Clothing worn every day. !!!!!!
It’s raw linseed and my mates missus wasn’t impressed with the smell as you say. I’d used this method with waxing cloth but as you say stunk the rest of the clothes. Atb
Simon suggested I give you a view. Nice video. Skillet, from the US.
Thanks.
Nice modifications! I wish we had that setup when I did my military service. We carried the foldable shovel in the loop and clasp.

Thanks for the video. I remember those side pockets from my military service. We carried magazines in them. Nice mod!
Thanks. They work really well. Needed to be a little lower though.
Some nice mods. I really like the axe holder. Good and solid and no swinging around. Hard to beat the army surplus. Well done. Atb Ian.
That’s the best bit I think
First shot and I saw Broadboats! Norfolk! I miss the place as I now live in Oz.
Weather is really good here at the moment. Atb
Fine video there - thanks for the review!

Tbh I just brought the water bottle and pouch from military mart.co.uk
It makes more sense if the bottle is plastic.

No just stitched the pouches on.
And how's it held up to wet weather?
I used a larger waxed thread than the needle used. I’ve had no water ingress
Sounds good thanks. I'll keep it in mind. Appreciate the replies 👍
Hi, I was looking for exactly this video! May I ask how easy the sewing / riveting would be for a total novice VS the cost of taking it to a cobbler?

@@Vildmark brilliant, thank you so much! Keep me busy during the lockdown. Take care.
Hi. Can you tell me how much one Swedish pocket-pouch weighs?
375g

what smock is that?
It’s a Fjallraven Singi.
@@Vildmark thanks!
Drilling a hole through the tube part of the frame is not a great idea. It removes a lot of the strength.
Andy P I did think of that but as it’s only a 3mm home and a stainless river has been put in it hasn’t effected the strength.
Vildmark - ideally you want to solder a piece of tubing between the holes. Its so over engineered it’s not likely a problem.
Yeah. I can understand if it’s weight bearing but the frame will only be holding maximum of 15kg
