    Thank-you SO much for so openly sharing how you do this. It really opens up a way for beginners to try new hobbies, especially when so many people are so “secretive” with their skills. It’s nice to see people showing other people how to have fun and try new things 🙂

    I was hoping for a more thorough tutorial actually. I'm entirely new to procreate and I figured the basics out that are mentioned in this video, but when do I add layers? What brushes are you using (if more than monoline)? And how do I make it so that I can erase the way you did when drawing stripes on your shirt and not have it affect other layers? I know to use a different layer but to have it just draw under other layers is what I can't figure out. Thanks for the tutorial but answers would be appreciated :)

Not certain if you've discovered a way to get better detail with hair BUT the studio pen with a fine brush size and smudge tool is great to get realistic strands and full heads of hair. When you “drop” the colour, don’t let go straight away. You’ll see it pop up along the top saying “colour drop threshold” you can then slide left and right (similar to when you’re changing opacity) and it should reduce how harsh it drops the colour. Hope that made sense.

      Once you have a solid shape, drag the color circle in the upper right hand corner into the shape!

      You can just fill a layer and place it behind all the other layers as the background

    My iPad makes me tone the whole painting when I try to drop my couloir in a specific place. Is that because I haven’t filled the line fully?

    • @Fuyukori
      @Fuyukori 3 года назад

      I think so... I'm new to it as well, but it works better if you have layer or alpha lock it and drop colors in

    • @latoyabroodie1916
      @latoyabroodie1916 3 года назад

      Yea you have to make sure where you’re dropping the color is fully closed in

      It might help if you make a new layer, too!

    How do you get the folds in the clothes ?

    • @StrictlyKendra
      @StrictlyKendra 3 года назад

      Try color matching every little difference in the shades on the clothes. It takes a while but when you're done and zoom out it makes a lot of difference!

    How do you fill only the face mine is doing the whole photo 😳

    • @taylorsleftoe
      @taylorsleftoe 3 года назад

      You have to make sure the lines (of the area you're outlining) are completley connected/closed, if you leave even a small gap it would color the whole photo
