No matter his fame, John has always been a down to earth guy which is why we all love him. His family and his music are his life. ❤
THANK YOU for making this available worldwide.
I missed this when it came on TV. So glad to find it here on you tube and available for all to see.
John is the soundtrack of our lives. I can't think of any other Aussie artist who has been as relevant for so many decades. We love you John ❤❤
It could be on 7Plus
@@cecilias_shorts it wasn't...but happy to find its on RUclips
It is just simply amazing+no matter how many reaction videos I watch-I'm now watching all the superstar Australian musicians who came after him-and still it is no different hundreds and hundreds of reaction videos I have watched-not only his own people but also the whole world is starting to understand-what an amazing fantastic artist+performer-absolute decent wonderful human being he is-the best best lucky country has ever had. Everybody loves him-not one bad word I have heard about this man-wonderful wonderful Australian legend who will never be forgotten.
Such a beautiful man...Australians are so proud of him..Glenn Shorrock , what a lovely man to honor John like he did..Another Aussie Legend...🌹🌹🌹
Much love and the best of wishes to John.. Not just Australia, but your fans around the world have you in their thoughts and hearts! So grateful for all your energy, integrity, kindness, creativity, honesty, humility, and incredible sense of humour. Appreciating you through life, you'll always be a top bloke.
You're the Voice should be our new National Anthem. It says everything that we believe in as Aussies. ✨️❤️🙏❤️🇦🇺🪃 ✨️💫🎶💙🕊💙🎶💫✨️
The whole of Australia owes Glen Wheatley for giving up his whole life on a gamble, remortgaging his house, for our John! “The Voice” may never have come to be if not for that wonderful man. So sad we lost Glen to COVID ❤😢
From Seaforth Sydney. Where do you start??? So many WONDERFUL MEMORIES, I just traveled back in time!!! I’m about the same age as John & grew up singing his MUSIC 🎼 🎵 🎶 He is just a special human being ❣️Great concerts & John always got involved with his Audience 💞He was & is a true BLESSING from GOD❣️
That bit with Norman Gunston was comedy GOLD.
John & Olivia Newton-John. Absolute total sweethearts, with incredible voices, who made you proud to be an Aussie. ❤
I agree, even tho both are UK born & raised here in aust.
I remember seeing him in concert for the first time, and thinking that his stage presence is such a special thing to witness live.
Great tribute to a fantastic artist.
I enjoyed every second of this. It brought back so many memories of my teenage years. Hearing Sadie again made me think of my beautiful Mum she loved that song
EXCELLENT SPOTLIGHT ON A GREAT MAN. Always been a huge fan of his voice and Australianism xx
Wow! What an incredible voice - So powerful 🤩. Nice fella too .
P.S - Thanks for posting this - Really enjoyed it 👍.
Gives me goosebumps! You are the power in this song and it’s message for us all. Thank you 🙏
The voice of all time and master of every music genre. ❤
He really is a treasure of our generation.
He's a treasure of a few generations
Wonderful to travel through my younger years with John again. I remember all those early clips very clearly. Thanks 7... and thank you John Farnham!
Could you please tell me what show the dancing with Ron Shand is from? I don’t recall and have had no luck trying to find out
Enjoyed watching this! A lovely tribute to a true Aussie ICON.
Australia loves you Farnsey ya bloody legend❤️❤️❤️❤️🇦🇺😊👍🏼
I’ve been singing John Farnham songs most of my life
Thanks but no audio for a while towards the end. Great video
Thank you very much for posting!! You made my day!
Legendary loyal Aussie. Stayed completely grounded. The legend is still living and indelibly imprinted on every new generation. ❤
Beautifully said - couldn't agree more!
John deserves every accolade given him bar none.
‘ I love this ‘ The Lost John Farnham Tapes ‘
Thankyou I could watch this over and over again.
❤️💚❤️💚❤️💚 John Farnham, Best wishes to John & his family. Blessings in abundance. Australia & the world love you, & are praying for you & your family.
John is a true talent. We can only wish him the very best . So much love. Thank you for your ability to share your wonderful music. 🎉❤. Hope we see you again soon. 🎉🎉
Crazy. I never heard his name but his voice is fabulous! I saw another comment that mentioned Little River Band. I am familiar with that band. But this guy’s voice is so refreshing to listen to, well, at least the one song they keep playing at the start of this video.😂
Look on you tube with John singing Help ...John Farnham - Help (LIVE with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra)...It will blow your mind how spectacular his voice is.
Anything sung live by John is epic. He’s done a concert with the MSO (Melbourne Symphony Orchestra) it’s absolutely awesome 😊
The male version of Judith Durham. Australia's two greatest singers.
Thanks Channel 7, some rare stuff here, really liked his performance with Norman Gunston, hadnt seen it before. Plus Kate Ritchie brought back memories. And listening to Glenn Shorrock's comments.
Love John Farnham!
Our favourite ‘son’. There is not a song that John couldn’t sing I’m sure. We all love him.
Hope you are doing well John. ❤❤❤🇦🇺🦘🐨💐❤️
I would've loved to hear all of it from 45:03-46:32.😢
Yep just came looking for these comments- seems there’s probably audio that’s been blocked (maybe by SME?)
But A Big Thank You To 7NEWS Spotlight For Having The Footage Of My Favourite Australian Tv Show Hey Hey It’s Saturday From The Late 1990s.
Simply the Best.❤
I just love listening to John Fahrham . He is unique .Wonderful ! I remember all those songs... Thanks 7... and thank you John Farnham!
Thank you so much John for all the joy you have given and are still giving. No matter what stands in the way.
Sending love and blessings to you and all your beautiful family.
❤🙏👍
Absolutely shocked that Glenn Shorrock paid tribute to John! Considering there was massive animosity between them when John replaced Glenn in LRB.
In one way John was great in LRB but Glenn was THE voice of LRB. John had a chance to spread his wings and learn what his voice was capable of. ❤
John wasn't responsible for Glenn being kicked out of LRB..It was the others who voted him out...JF was fantastic in LRB but he was too exciting and robust for a band like that..I agree GS was a wonderful singer but John and Glenn had totally different styles and between them, they made LRB one of the greatest bands of all time..I really like GS.
Maybe they reconciled 🤷 ? Maybe Glenn did something that meant John forgave him 🤷 ? Only pure speculation . Maybe the rumours are false ? I wasn't ever there . I'm only a year older than John Farnham's son Robert is . ♑️✍️🇳🇴🇦🇺
I found Glen condescending actually - jealous maybe 🤷♀️
I watched 'Finding the Voice' and Glenn Shorrock was literally kicked out of LRB because he became too difficult to work with. John Farnham was asked to replace him...he never wanted it to be a permanent thing, he was filling in.
Interesting that its up on youtube already. On a side note: might wanna check your titles during the show. One glaring mistake showing "Age of Reason Concert" for what was actually the "Chain Reaction Tour Concert'.
Loved John in LRB. Liked Glen shorrock as well. Different styles but both good singers. I enjoyed this tribute better than the documentary. More about John Farnham and less about the Wheatleys. Maybe Gaynor should just do a documentary just on Glen.
I remember years ago i used too do deliveries on the Gold Coast..I was doing a delivery to a place on Hope Island..i came out and my van was blocked in..cars parked too close so i had to wait... then a group came out and there was the man himself...I was so pleased then that i had been blocked in 🐨
Love you John Farnham. Saw you in Mackay, QLD. Likeable bloke. Funny as 😂
Are you making your own Finding The Voice? It was really good and the Hey Hey It’s Saturday with John singing with Tom Jones has always been one of my favourites. It was a really genuine moment that I watch often. Thank you.
That's what I thought...are they making their own version of 'Finding the Voice'..?
l ❤ John Farnham he can do no wrong in my eyes 😍
I am 85 ,,, he makes me feel young again , he is so funny , he feels each song
Is it me or is there no sound from around 45 mins?
Same .... no sound . Captions don't even work !
@@leonabrown6379 Well , that's kind of them . Damn.
Does anyone know what show the clips of John dancing is from? Alone and with Ron Shand?
John Farnham is a true Aussie legend!
Saw him in concert in Melbourne WOW what a experiance that was!
The choir sounded lovely.
I personally loved LRB with John. Had the band received the support it deserved from the label, they likely would have been more successful.
Thanks for the upload! Great episode ❤
The mullet gives me FEVER John Farnham ……. Tell your boys that
I aim around your age
I was there at the beginning
Lining up at Billboard Chapel Street early 80’s
You and your band were destined for fame ….. worth the $10 cover charge
A huge fan
Mez , friend of Craig Tyzzer who coached Ash Barty and his designated driver to Billboard
You made my party days even cooler
I love that song
☮️🙏🇨🇦🍻
Thanks for shareing this
Loved watching him on the Perth Telethons😂😂
Me too. It was the first time I met him
@@carolynh8866 lucky you!! At Telethon?
Were you volunteering or audience?
@@yvonnecaldwell6088 audience the first time ....phones second time
The whole of Australia will be in mourning the day that John passes and it will be noticed worldwide. The world will witness Australia crying.
Who ever posted this, the sound disappears at the end, when celeb's are taking about him for a chunk
STILL HAD VOLUME ON THE BLOODY ADS THOUGH. THATD B RIGHT!
“Disastrous stint in The Little River Band”? I don’t remember it that way at all.
The other documentary explains it better- he was in serious debt because LRB were in massive debt before he joined and they just passed it onto him…. To top it off there were other well documented incidents that caused him to leave…. It’s not always as Rosy as the audience sees
@@aries898 True, but … A) The audience loved the songs. And B) John himself says in this video that he would never have become the artist he became if but for his stint in LRB. Given those facts, “disastrous” may be a stretch.
Me either. I never heard of John before LRB and that's where I met him here in the US. He was so sweet and funny and the show was fabulous. When I was there, they seemed to be having fun, except Graham. He was kinda a loner to my eyes. After John went solo, I stayed on board. The voice is a treasure.
Does it go silent for anybody else , at 45.06 ???
Have tried and re tried .
The dark-haired woman at 8:38 ... does anybody else think her eyes look strange ?
His facial reconfiguration will be difficult for many people when they finally see him again.
John, get well, stay well, live long, enjoy your family. And remember how much we fans will always love and appreciate you I'm currently watching a video of your earlier years - it's a long way to the top...... But you got there. Lucky us. ❤❤❤❤❤
John Fatnham. The lost tapes. Lovely snapshot of the greatest voice. ❤❤
My friend had reconstruction surgery for oral cancer..The first six months was the worst where her face was so swollen but it eventually settled down...She has a scar but she still looks as beautiful as ever..I think John will make an appearance again and will look ok and even if it is noticeable, none of us will care.
It's Sunday 27 august 2023. 87pm my time. I'm in England. Spent the afternoon watching videos from the shows on my smart phone. SHEER HEAVEN
Have nearly run out of words, but I've yet to use Superlative, so... Everything I watched was superlative. Just loved every moment. Nearly emigrated to Oz on the late 60s, on the £10 assisted passage scheme. Got married instead but if I had joined all you aussies I would have been to all those riveting concerts - somehow think I lucked out there?
Darn the audio goes out at 45:05😢
The comment about national pride being as important the the whole world was never more important when it comes to a world.
I care understand Johns emotion rising to the level of tears of pride because it was a statement that was never so true, sadly very much missed by those who govern, a real shame!!!
45.50 guys we have a problem the sound left the building before the voice did
What happened to the audio at 45.05 mins ?
Nothing but silence,
Who silenced The Voice ?????
Strewth
WTF happened to the audio towards the end?? 😡😡
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
💜👏💜👏💜👏💜👏💜👏💜👏💜👏💜👏💜👏💜👏💜👏💜👏💜
John Farnham . The patron saint of Australia ?
Where is he's and Jimmy Barnes stroy
MUST BE YTHEWEATHER, BUT I LOST SOUND ON LAST 7 MINS UNFORT. GREAT THOUGH.
❤💯👏👏👊
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Coming from a Kiwi. Why haven’t the Australian Government Knighted him yet. I’m sure he will not think that he is worthy but he certainly, totally is worthy!
He has been awarded The Order of Australia which is the equivalent of being knighted. Aussies can no longer be knighted as such
Australia can't knight people. That is a Brittish thing! 😅
@@shivaunwhite1077 we use to, can't remember who knocked it the head but Tony Abbott brought it back just to Knight General Cosgrove, then knocked it on three head again.
"an awful case of the chicken pox" haha, did the Home and Away writers work for the WHO afterwards?
Seems like money buys you a voice, I used to admire farnham wishing hiim well, i hope he spends his 30 pieces of silver wisely.
Money doesn't buy you voice God gave John that voice! What a Shitty thing to say!
@@annyd9309 I wasn't referring to Farnham's voice, just totally annoyed at albanese spending tax dollars dividing Australians past, present and future.
He screwed up getting involved with Albo's pathetic voice referendum
Vote no Australia
How to spoil a good song. Noll and the girl. Neither can sing.
