Man... i found this video when I was learning to play the guitar. Now about 12 years later i found it again and fell in love again 😍 Think I have to learn this version soon 😎
@@bblades2622 The strings are really low. Low strings = easier to play, with one caveat. Not everyone can play like Eddie Van Halen with low action, it's a double edged sword. It can make you better, or a lot worse, lol.
I got chills watching this from beginning to end. My heart skipped a beat a couple times. Let the world know. KENT CARLEVI is one of the greatest guitar players, EVER.
I've never heard anyone do that little slide on the opening like a rolling stone part it sounds heavenly. Usually you hear it on the E string but hearing it on the higher strings is just beautiful.
Kent Carlevi, mate I want to say that I've been playing classical guitar for 5 years a long time ago, and after listening to this you have inspired me to buy Music Man Axis AX40 and start practicing and practicing I love that improvising so much!!! Thank you for sharing this with us.
I started playing hair guitar in 1985. I was 15. Learned everything by ear. Listened and tried to replicate it. Learned to train that ear. After 30+ yrs, it's very sharp. New players today don't get that. They learn by watching. Bending in tune is a hard thing to learn. I've been watching this channel since it started years ago. I had been playing for years and didn't realize how much bending actually went on until I saw this vid. The camera angle is perfect to see it. Almost every note is bent. I played it myself and I was doing it too. Didn't even realize it. Every new player should see this vid. It's an eye opener.
Literally zero guitar videos I've watched to see how shits played have this angle of the camera and I love it! Unique and exactly what I didn't know I wanted until I seen it, kudos💯🤘🏾
Kent your guitar playing is definitely a melody softly soaring through my atmosphere. And if the silence ever takes you, well I definitely hope it takes me too.
Love that little lick you played when it kicks in Kent! trying to figure it out as this is the first time I have seen this video. Have watched many of your videos and we've crossed paths on forums before.
The Awesome beginning for you "babes" who were'nt even born yet was Kent's arrangement of Hendrix playing Dylan's 'Like a Rolling Stone' at Montery Pop 1967... Kent - everything about your vids in exceptional - your playing, the filming, the sound. Now the only thing we need is for you to slow it down a bit so we can learn it!!
MAN !!!!! I love ZZ Top. Just saw for the second concert in Penticton, BC, CANADA. 20 years after the last concert in Tacoma , WA...THEY ROCK ! But , I must say YOU ARE A GREAT GUITARIST. Good job !
Thats the best vid ive seen for guitar on here, very clear and played like a pro, I think the guitar is a Wolfgang to answer another tubers question. Sweet, keep it up.
man you got skill changing the pickups and volume all the harmonics are perfect.... man you could fill in for billy if he needed someone great job!!!!!!!!!!
This was really really good. Great job. This is where I want to be when I grow up (as a guitar player). To be able to play through multiple songs, effects, volumes, and style transitions and do it cleanly for a considerable amount of time... that makes a good live player. I'll be watching this one over and over. Thanks!
yeah... i really like ur style.... ur ability is incredible please keep on posting things like that! For me: Ur the best online-guitarist! thx for entertaining and Teaching!!! greetz
You gotta see Brian Setzer tuck a pick!he's the master of it as he switches from Travis pickin to Flat pickin so much in his Rockabilly style. Oh yeah,Nice jam Kent!
Great rendition! I don't usually don't care to watch fan videos but you are an exception. Keep up the great work, Kent! Great instrumental atmosphere music!
Wow, I have to say that move at 1:08 when you switch from plucking, adjust the tone, switch pickups, adjust the tremelo, and flip your pick over, was just anything but a natural act. Awesome, keep it up.
Holy shit, that was fantastic! Damn, man, that was the best I've ever seen anyone play it, other than Billy, of course. You probably know this, but that rocked.
12 years later and it is still the best La Grange cover on youtube, awesome

@@laronis tough call for me. A lil bit of Satch style.
That action is so low you could breathe on it and play a note
Shawn agreed. That guitar is WELL setup to play.
Lol... some of the best guitarists I've known play with action that you couldn't slide a piece of walmart receipt paper under!
So what?
