Nice tutorial. And allow me to point a very positive aspect regarding didactic: first you showed what we will achieve at the end. I mean images of the finish work. I get very angry with tutorials that begin without this. It's a trip to unknown target. You even included a beautiful footage and a philosophical phrase! Thank you a lot!
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: [00:12] ️ *To create a river in Blender, start by searching for the "Landscape" add-on in your preferences and checking the "ant landscape" box.* [00:27] ️ *Change the preset to "River" and adjust the random seed value until you're happy with the way the river looks. Increase the landscape subdivisions for more detail.* [01:11] *Use a human or a 2-meter cube to check the real-life scale of your landscape. Reference images from different angles and times of day are helpful.* [01:40] *Adjust the camera angle and focal length to achieve the desired depth in your scene.* [02:07] *Unwrap the landscape before adding materials. Use the Node Wrangler add-on to mix multiple Principle BSDFs together to create a forest floor, ground, and water material.* [09:19] *To add grass, append a blend file with grass objects and delete all but the highest quality LOD. Use a weight map to control where the grass appears.* [10:03] ️ *To add mountains, create a displacement plane and move it far behind the trees. Use a vertex group to select only the visible parts of the mountains.* [11:00] ️ *For distance fog, create a giant cube and add a low-density volume material with a blue color. Control the density with a math node.* [11:29] ⛰️ *To texture the mountains, use a free displacement map and add subdivision and displace modifiers. Adjust the strength, mid-level, and size of the mountains.* [12:41] *For the background image, find a sky texture that matches your lighting and add it as a plane. Decrease the roughness and increase the metallic value for a good contrast.* Made with HARPA AI
Really great work man, BTW I Use a trick from CG geek for FOG that is less expensive on the PC, U just have to set A PLANE as big as the scene instead of a cube and the Plane's height should be similar to the camera, Then create another small plane and use noise Texture as alpha to make it look like a SMall cloud, then you can color it according to the fog that you want, then use the smaller plane as a particle Object and the big plane as an emitter, Play around with the settings a bit and you will get a really nice FOG effect without using volumetric FOG... Hopefully this helps...
In geometry nodes in the collection node make sure to check seperate children and reset children option 🤝... Probably it should work.. Otherwise try to apply scale for everything by clicking CTRL + A
I love your tutorials! Quick question, I made my trees using sapling tree gen including armature. When I try to distribute them in the geometry nodes, it wants to randomly generate the armatures separately too. I tried to uncheck "separate children", but then nothing generates at all.
I am on a Macbook, and when I try to do the bounds thing in the viewport display, it does not apply to all trees. I did it by pressing ALT, but it didn't work. Would anyone be able to help me with that?
Hi, you have to hold Alt until you change the display to bounds. Pressing it doesn't work buddy. I've mentioned holding down ALT. Anyways thank you for your nice words.
Everything is fine about your channel and content, but I think if you flip the name of the channel from “Bro 3D” to “3D Bro” then it would be awesome. Or something like “Blender bro” and make the icon of your channel include BB. And also change the description of the channel to something more iconic. Subbed.

bro one more help please! when i put object info in geometry nodes and check the box separate children and reset children then mt tree got lay down on surface
Thank you so much for all your tutorials!!! They are super super helpful. I have a question about the scattering process - I had my trees in a collection, but when I used geometry nodes to scatter them on the surface, not only the trees were scattered as a whole, the tree trunks and leaves were also scattered individually (like there would be floating leaves and trunks with no leaves). Could you please let me know how to prevent this from happening? Thank you so much!
@@ranyahanyu5344 When you joined them, did it not either make the leaves disappear or the trunk material disappear, depending on the order you selected them before joining? That's what's happening to me.
@@nicktimm5501 Yes, I think that also happened to me. I probably went back and reassigned the materials? If you click on the drop down triangle you'll be able to see either the leaves or the trunk as a subgroup, and there you should be able to reassign the missing material.
when i scale the terrain to 2x2 km i cant see my terrain on my camera, its like there's nothing there i want to set the preference so that i can see all of my terrain on the camera. the question is i dont know how to change it

You cut way too much. I know you're trying to make your videos fast but the number of times I have to rewind just to see what you're doing makes the video 10x longer. Just make slower videos, dude. This is horrible.
