    I am really happy to watch this. I bought 2 packets of motor oil stick baits about 20 years ago here in South Africa in a small shop. The bass could NOT leave those baits. The latest motor oil baits i can buy is only the damiki fat albert. Although it is a nice soft plastic it is not nearly what that original was. I am a teacher and a few years away from retirement so i am looking to start making baits to suppliment my pension.

      Thank You! I worked with a graphic designer, he is the same one that has done all of my graphics and then sent them off to print at a bag manufacturer. I like to control the art myself instead of have a factory do it. My suggestion is to reach out to a supplier that you like for costs, etc. and ask them for an art template. Then you can take that template and either do the graphics yourself or work with an artist on Fiverr or another similar platform to get some cool art done. Then go back to the manufacturer with the completed art file and get the bags printed. It's a little more leg work, but the bags turn out so much better that way in my opinion.

      No, I tried but unfortunately Dead On colors are very thick and opaque and do not mix very well together. For motor oil you need transparent colors which is why I called out the specific dye colors for Lureworks. You need dyes not pigments for motor oil to look proper. So confirming Jeff/MF is DONE..DONE DONE?? Someone needs to buy the company. MF has been around, too long to just disappear. Back when I started in 1994, MF was the first plastic I used.

      Unfortunately it’s looking like it will be that way soon. I’ve inquired a little about a purchase, but from what I’ve heard, I’m not sure it could even be sold at this point. It’s very unfortunate and makes me sad to think about.

    So how do you do it without MF?

    • @baitchuckin
      @baitchuckin  2 месяца назад +1

      Without MF you can use Lureworks Chartreuse Dye, Black Grape, and Cherry Red Dye

    Go figure they sold out are they ever going to keep up on their colors

      I'm not really sure. You can check the fat guys fishing website, they rebottled some MF colors as their MF'n color line.

    If MF sells, could it possibly become "8-Bit MF"?

      I tried looking into that, unfortunately it’s a lot more complicated with several family members involved. 🤷🏻‍♂️

      Yes I'm very sad to see it fade away as well. Some of the best colors in the industry. Jeff is truly a wizard at mixing colors. Unfortunately this is usually how it goes with family businesses...

    Are you using MF plastisol?

    • @baitchuckin
      @baitchuckin  2 месяца назад

      Yes for this video I used MF Regular plastisol. They do not sell plastisol anymore however so I suggest either Bait Plastics or Dead On Plastics

      Nice! I’m looking at moving to the BP 242 myself. I do however use Dead On for all of my hand pouring as I feel you get much longer working times with it, which is great for hand pouring 👍🏼

      @@baitchuckin did someone buy the plastic part of MF? I'm hoping they get back online soon too

    • @baitchuckin
      @baitchuckin  2 месяца назад

      No, nobody purchased the plastic side. Jeff was the one who mixed all the plastic in their old facility and their new location in Oklahoma doesn't allow for big rigs to get on/off the property for deliveries at the moment. It's dirt roads where they are at. Jeff has no further plans to sell plastic anymore from MF. Finding it from distributors is the only way to get whatever is left out there.
