I am really happy to watch this. I bought 2 packets of motor oil stick baits about 20 years ago here in South Africa in a small shop. The bass could NOT leave those baits. The latest motor oil baits i can buy is only the damiki fat albert. Although it is a nice soft plastic it is not nearly what that original was. I am a teacher and a few years away from retirement so i am looking to start making baits to suppliment my pension.
Great color.....I over cooked a mixture I came up with and it really looks good for some reason.....accidently overcooked it and got killer results...it was like 415 degrees hot and it made the red pop more.....cool video for sure man!.....thx
I love the 4.1" whipwad it's becoming one of my favorites. I also like a hook slot because of the way I usually rig stuff. But it is killer regardless, just means I gotta hit up Joe and Adam for jigs lol. Also so awesome of them to trust you with the recipe that killer stuff
Yes agreed, the 4.1" WhipWad is a killer bait regardless of hook slot. Yeah it was cool of Jeff to release the recipe. I hope he enjoyed the video, the community response in the comments seems really positive and thankful!
Bro!! I just got a bunch of MF colors from a seller on ebay and guess what was in the box!? JELLY RED!! and original purple!! And the chartreuse. So im gonna make some badass motor oil!! Cant wait. Keep doing what you do brother and ill be ordering some pixie dust soon.
Also stoked on the bags, they look great. I just got a new logo done and now I'm designing the bag. So cool the see the advancements in the pigment and flake side. I use you and Tommy for like 99.5% of what I do. Definitely gonna get the new rupees and some of those sticks. The silicone mat is gnarly. I keep silicone baking sheets on my work station. And if the lips over lap it makes the molds rock. So much cool stuff in this video
Bless you, bless you, bless you! I now have a new HERO!! I have missed the original motor oil for so long. Now I shall try my hand at mixing it. It sure would be very nice to use M-F colors, but Barlow's is sold out of just about all of their colors. So, another thank you for giving the recipe in Lureworks colors. Really appreciate all the time you put in researching and experimenting. I know it took a lot of time. I've been following you for awhile. You da man!
Thank You for the kind words, but this recipe comes directly from Jeff at MF, so the only research I did was to try and find the right Lureworks colors to re-create it with available colors today.
Not gonna lie, when I saw the mat my first thought was "nice Magic the Gathering playmat". Also, my son (he's the prosthetic tech who actually fabricates my legs) is going to be ordering a couple Joker here real soon to make my new prosthetics with. I'll send you pics when they're done.
Please do that would be awesome!!!! That's going to be one bad ass color shifting leg!!! And YES, these would make great MTG mats as well! I played all the way back in Beta. Still have my Mox Ruby after all these years. Only one I ever pulled! LOL
@@baitchuckin when I think about how much the cards we played with in the 90's are worth now, I could retire and just fish. No I'm not worried about it. Motor Oil is a bleeding color anyhow, so it shouldn't be that big of an issue. Another substitute is the Jelly Apple Red by Lureworks, but that bleeds a little also I believe.
@@baitchuckin Thank you for the update. I'll be looking forward to their arrival on the 8bit Website. However, I won't be able to purchase them until next year when I visit the U.S. in the spring, as I currently live in Sweden.
I suggest using the Lureworks Chartreuse Dye, Black Grape, and Cherry Red Dye. You can start with the ratios I mentioned and pull back on individual colors from there if you don't like it.
Thank You! I worked with a graphic designer, he is the same one that has done all of my graphics and then sent them off to print at a bag manufacturer. I like to control the art myself instead of have a factory do it. My suggestion is to reach out to a supplier that you like for costs, etc. and ask them for an art template. Then you can take that template and either do the graphics yourself or work with an artist on Fiverr or another similar platform to get some cool art done. Then go back to the manufacturer with the completed art file and get the bags printed. It's a little more leg work, but the bags turn out so much better that way in my opinion.

@@baitchuckintotally didn't see that you already mentioned the LW colors. I did notice that FGF has their MF motor oil back in stock too. I wonder if that comes from, same batch as MF makes though.
the FGF MF series of colors are literally re-bottled MF colors. So that's the revised Motor Oil. If it's back in stock, I suggest buying up what you can!!
