He climbs and rolls all over his daddy just like my son does to me, and he's so gentle and loving with her. He's so masculine, but he is kind and sweet at the same time. THIS is how to be a real man. We have so much in common with gorillas, we can learn a lot about ourselves from watching them.

Free to die and be skinned alive for their fur while they watch their habitat become the next nickel/cadmium mine. yeah that sounds great to someone who fights for animal freedom without knowing the fact that gorilla populations in the wild have fallen from 17000 in 1995 to 3800 in 2015. that's a whopping 78% meaning the gorilla population has lost 3.9% or around 663 individuals per year. gorillas are not domesticated in well funded and run zoos, neither are they depressed, they have family and room to live. room to think and care for each other. gorillas need to be protected from poachers who would do them harm, and people like you who would put them in harms way to make yourself feel better.
Oh my this is precious! I've never seen a silverback so hands on with his kids, and also his DAUGHTERS!!! You may see a dad who is wrestling around with their juvenile sons, but this I love! 💝🦍💝

Yes Anne, you're right the puppy does not have much fur but I assure you that it is in good health. It does not have much fur because her mother made an exaggerated grooming and now the fur is growing back slowly. Live is a very cute puppy!! Since I began my doctoral thesis with this gorillas this is the best moment for me. The father is very sweet with his baby gorilla :-)
