Commutator keval ac ko dc m convert nhi karta..... Dc to ac m bhi karta h...... And we need ac in armature to run the motor..

What if we supple ac to armature?

Armature me to ac hi flow karti hai..[converted by commutator]..... Lekin input me dc dete h.
Dc series me koi fark nhi padta ac or dc supply ka both are same but in shunt and other types, dc is required for unidirectional torque.

Nothing happen motor will run in same direction..bt if we change either armature terminal or field terminal,then it will be operated in opposite direction
