You have to get a new alternator if you have electric problems then you have to reflash the ECU to manual transmission the rewire all the connected wires to the car i hope this helps you
I like the burnt patina, but it could definitely benefit from a clearcoat. Just to prevent the panels from any further rust in the future And it will protect the paint from where it got burnt around the edges
Idk why everyone’s talking about the torching to the roof, it fits the theme perfectly, and we’re lucky the thing got painted, let alone restored from its burnt piece of toast state. I’m a Mopar guy and I love the direction the build is going it, I would just recommend a ppf for the paint so the panels can retain that burnt look without anymore bubbling and weathering. ✌️
So I'm the guru for harnesses for the Ford contour SVT. I've converted auto harnesses to manual. I've converted 2L engine bodies to 3L engine bodies... This conversion to get the demon and hellcat mix will not be easy. Newer car more sensors and much more wiring involved. Including ECM programs. I can scratch my head and offer to say the least you'll need to add the hellcat manual stuff and depin the demon harness and then maybe you can run a hellcat ECU with a demon tune to make it all work
Not gonna lie I liked the multi color. It had a real rat rod feel to it and it let's you know just by looking at it how much of it was actually replaced
I LOVE the repaint you did. Love that you kept the burnt parts and repainted the rest. Exactly what this build needed, IMO. Not as much of a fan of the burning of the new roof though. Oh well :)
Did you reach out to junkyard Dave? That man is a genius. Building a magnum from a new charger with the track hawk drivetrain. Custom fab, and wiring in his lil garage. Maybe he may have an answer before you take it apart.
Well then you missed the whole damn point of the car then, because originally he was leaving it fully burnt and multicoloured. Let me take a guess, you don’t like the homemade demon logo either? The project is a masterpiece.
@@chuck1622 it’s a car that deserves to be fully restored bro, it’s never getting put out again, and this is what we see, it’s destroyed once again lmao and the car still don’t run it’s disappointing to see the car get rebuilt and then ruined again
Then he should have left it burnt and multicolored. When anyone else who hasn't watched the video's in real life ( like 95% of everyone ) looks at this car they are going to think. "what a shame" "what happened" etc ..... and for the record. The logo is cool. @@chuck1622 If you want to make it look like it went through hell give it to WhistlinDiesel. He'll take care of it.
Just a suggestion you should put your custom demon badge on the burnt side, and put the OEM One on the clean side. But i love your imperfect demon logo 🤣
I mean you had me with keeping some of her scars, but i though you might clean it up, and maybe clear coat it, not leave it toasted, and then proceed to burn the fresh paint. 😂
The amount of people that seemingly watched the whole rebuild and still don’t understand the point of the whole thing and what you were aiming for is annoying but kind of hilarious at the same time. We high level thinkers understand and appreciate your subtle sense of humour and vision for this masterpiece!!
I think the burns dont look too bad but hey its a rebuild you always have proof of what it was just with these videos. Paint the entire car and finish it off right! Call it the Phoenix Demon burnt to ash and born again. Love the videos keep em coming!
Because if you’re walking up to the good side it gives you a very subtle and hilarious hint of what’s on the other side. Don’t worry about it, this high level thinking is lost on most people.
I honestly could not stop giggling as the "Dekemon" (Demon + Pokemon ?) logo went up on the car... I almost made my wife watch it, but then realized she was 60 minutes of build videos away from enjoying that moment as much as me... Speaking of my wife, I just ordered a Not Demon badge - it's going to look sweet on her Model X!
so crazy seeing one of those trailers in like new condition. Im still using my dads 20yr old one. Make sure you grease the rollers. good work on the demon.
Awesome upload like normal - you guys have become favourite go to on RUclips - No click bait,no bs hype - just straight up great content ……… oh and if you go down the mercy avenue I’ll be up for buying a shirt or hoodie when they become available
Top Coat is an awesome body shop. Matt Pratt the owner is always stepping up to the plate willing to take on an unorthodox challenge way outside the box.... this turned out cool for sure.
I’ve been following this build since the beginning and even though I’m just a viewer. I feel proud too seeing it come together like this 🥲 I’ve been calling this the “Demon Hellfire” model based on the history and parts 😂
I'm not going to lie I was disappointed, especially when you painted the car and left the burn marks. Then it was hard to watch the fire part. Was hoping to see the demon restored. 😢
Great idea for you, to leave the burnt parts on the car, as is. I would have painted it with some flames to make the car really look like it's on fire, especially with that red paint job.
Boss: "Did you get those tickets done yet?" Me: "Watch this dude shoot a Dodge Demon with a flamethrower with me." Boss: "Yeah tickets can wait on that...show me."
Also, I absolutely can't wait to see this beast actually running. I hope the potential fix ends up doing the trick. This car has been a long time coming now and I'm hoping it will soon be worth every ounce of blood, sweat, tears, money, and time put into it.
I don't know if this would be the right move but try having a look at what the "Zero to 60" Channel has been up to regarding Transmissions. They're doing things that are baffling to me as I know many others are but I believe their set ups are unique and can make you automatic into a TRUE manual with clutch kicking and full on clutch action as desired. As well as pretty much any match up of vehicle to transmission happening these days. His name is Andrew. They've shown doing amazing things with European (German) JDM 4X4 stuff on serious power SUV trucks and they actually started with a full on Drift car (BMW) and are doing everything these days.
Lol, ya that grade coming out of the underside of Lucas oil stadium is no joke. Daughter was a part of the marching band in school and I have pushed instruments and props up and down that grade.
If you're having electric problems with the demon you have to get a new alternator for it and then reflash the ECU to a manual transmission and then rewire all the connected wires to body to chassis to engine thats all
Straight up daaaannnnnnggggggg pretty vs party side im into it, going to blend in too well with the slideshow cars tho lol reminds me of the paint chip 71 cuda and challengers they did a couple years ago
Love your videos. This one was special seeing you Brooke down at the yough lake. My hometown. Which I could have been driving by and seen you. You would have definitely had a helping hand.
Me and my son just finished watching great content as always my son says he loves your Pokémon you made haha 😄 and the car looks so so good awesome job 👏

I’m guessing that the desired effect could have been attained with spray paint. Just a wild shot in the dark.
You have to get a new alternator if you have electric problems then you have to reflash the ECU to manual transmission the rewire all the connected wires to the car i hope this helps you
You should call the car “two face”

We all think u should’ve got the whole car painted
Wish we had a video of the painter watching this. His reaction would have been priceless
I think he went too far with the burnt theme
@@Chris-hw4mqhe didn't go far enough
Kinda loved the multi-color look. Let everyone know that this Demon never dies.

I was wondering how the roof got painted and still had burn marks😂😂😂
I'm sad not seeing the Demon go bonkers but can't be that mad, hopefully the NEXT video we will be able to see the Demon run
There won't be a next video until it's running, but I'm HOPING we've made a big breakthrough!
He needs a new alternator
That’s the best part it feels that much sweeter when you had to wait patiently especially seeing what it looked like the first Day
Love the paint
Part 17 or 18 it may be running, next episode will be washing the bacon grease off and adding washer fluid 🤣

I’m so glad you did the red! It looks amazing with the burn. It also looks like you just discovered the new scrap life garage logo!

😂 he gave up on that hellcat durango
Burning the roof made me mad that’s crazy 🤦🏾♂️
bro acting like it wasnt burnt before
Don't like the burn marks myself.

Great job man, it came out great. I really like the burnt section. It makes it look more complete than just leaving it all multicolor.

Im with you on leaving it a bit burnt, but reburning restored part of the roof is crazy lol
Dang it! I live in Indy but was so busy that I didn't even think of going to the show. Would have loved to have seen the (not a) Demon in person.
Damn I was hoping it would stay patchwork style

LOVE THE WAY YOU THINK TO KEEP THE BURN MARKS. GENIUS
Okay as soon as I seen that blowtorch I was like no.... could have just left it alone and clear-coated the burnt areas
this is just a work of art
It was before the paint.

iv been following since the first video and when I seen it all painted up I gave a round of applause to you lol looks awesome
love the fact you left the burnside exactly the way it is !
You should have put the original demon logo on the good side and the one you made on the other
Hurt my soul seeing you burn the roof. Should have just did a full restoration and made it as close to factory as possible.
The whole point is to not to.
Wasted

Repaint was the way to go! Looks so killer!! The roof is icing on the cake!!!

I'm subbed with notifications on, and never see these videos pop up until days after release
You jumped the shark by burning the roof....what were you thinking?
Patina on a new car isn’t the thing.
Do you not need to change the car ecu into that from a manual one to get it running?
Looks great! I think I would have painted the burn spots and not destroyed the roof 😢
Yeah, me too.

Thank you! All proceeds will go to the project car fund after we buy some working fire extinguishers
😂 I've loved watching this project and I look forward to your future projects, make sure to keep those fire extinguishers up to date!
You should put the melted emblem on the burn side
