Conscription is based on The Salem Accord which states: "Be it enacted by this general assembly that any child born of a witch shall be held a witch, according to the condition of the mother, and shall deliver herself bodily to Fort Salem for training in the military arts."
I think the beginning “Answer The Call” promo thing was supposed to be cringey and bad because that’s usually how those things are 💀💀💀 It was fucking HILARIOUS
I think you're right with it being called the "Salem Accords" I think Alder should start thinking about why everyone seems to be questioning her authority and pushing back in subtle and not so subtle ways.
You are both right about it being the "Salem Accord". Emily said "but I know that's just me thinking of Marvel". So instead of being confused by the "Sokovia Accords" in Captain America: Civil War it probably help her remember.
Yes!! So glad you're finally back!! Can't wait to see your reactions for the rest of the season!! I'm kinda on the fence about Alder, she's doing some shady stuff. But I believe that she is doing it for the right reasons.
9:49 I agree with you that Alder is shady, but she doesn't seem all that bad. In terms of that she had to make difficult decisions which entailed heavy ramifications, but in her book it was for the greater good. She does seem having a heavy burden on her shoulders and maybe regret for the things that she had to do, or she thinks she had to do.
- That promo video is straight out of the 80's. - Alder most certainly DOES deserve that shit. She's so shady. - The police hand in hand with the Camarilla. Almost like it's an allegory for white supremacy. - Raelle's type: Shortish brunette bad girls. Scylla...Libba...
I found the recruiting propaganda appropriate and funny. It was like something out of Starship Troopers, the satire in that goes over a lot of people's heads. Adler tried to send Scylla to their version of Azkaban, she didn't expect to hear about Scylla ever again. Willa sent Scylla to seduce Raelle, so she knows about them.
However one feels about Alder from the people's viewpoint it's an intensification of a forced draft, there's no way for it to be popular. There's also the general anti-witch resentment due to the Spree an' all.
Let's get Taylor back to Deadpool3 ?! She is very cool, it will be sad if her career in a big movie ends because of a scar (( I agree that she deserves a great movie !!! #ReturnTaylor #vancityreynolds # deadpool3
I'm glad you're questioning certain plot points. The writing is overall good, and there are some great performances, but sometimes something doesn't make sense. Also, Alder could be up on charges for puppeting the president. I Anacostia the only person who really knows, though?
Anacostia, the unit and Petra are the only people that know. I feel like anacostia, even tho she doesn't agree, is too emotionally connected to Alder to give her up like that. Alder is like her mom. The unit is not gonna do anything if Anacostia asks them not to and Petra, well.... I feel like petra has been planning some shit
Tally's background reactions are the best lol...she just makes the scene 100% funnier.
* Scylla giving Amity vibes *
Scylla: "I have to go" 😳

To be fair, if Alder hadn't puppeted the president, she wouldn't even still be a part of the military. It would be Petra's army right now.
scylla was said panic at the end when she saw raelle plssss
