Take it from a home owner. It is expensive to maintain A house. I got socked with having a new whole house AC and a car all at once. Huge chuck out of my money to live on. I'm in my 70's. As a result I will be selling and moving to a highrise because I can't afford to keep up my house. So if you are saving, be careful on what you are spending. It maybe fun to guess but it costs lots to buy a house and the down payment. Then you begin the upkeep. You never know like what happened to me. Another time was a $6000 be pipes and cellar dug up. Just saying be careful.
I inherited a house abd it was 2 1/2 years of a catastrophe every day before I moved into an apartment. I do miss the backyard but never again!! A tiny house maybe
I kinda have the same issue. I've spent $3,500 in 2 years on a anaerobic septic system, that was supposed to be a couple of years old and serviced right before I bought it 😢
