At last a no nonsense excellent and honest review without all the performance and all slap dash patter cake hand movements of those showing off in front of a camera. Well Done
Thanks! The waist straps are challenging to tuck away. You could pull them back and clip them around the back side of the pack just to get them out of the way. I don't always use them and often just let them dangle there. They're never much of an issue but I haven't found a good way to make them disappear. I hope that helps! Have a great day!
I know this video is over 2yrs old, but glad I watched as i've just purchased this bag and its deffo the right purchase by the looks of it. Thankfully now we are 2yrs on, there's some less bulkier equipment available for this style of video
Awesome! I'm still using mine and love it. I just took it to Ireland and Scotland as my carry-on bag, and it worked really well to carry my drone, and camera gear.
@@jayherrigel Came 2 days ago, must say I am impressed. Good quality for the price and I love that there's plenty of points for add ons & attachments Other similar branded bags are twice as much, and most in that price range only really cater for camera gear without any fore thought on camping/hiking use unless you are willing to spend over £350
Hi, great vid, you have a new follower now. My backpack will reach tomorrow and I’m looking forward for it 😊. May I ask you, what kind of lenses are you using except the 25mm on your g85 for vlogging? I have the g95 with the kit lens 12-60 mm and ordered the 25mm as additional lens vor videos is it suitable? Greetings from Berlin Germany.
Hallo, danke aus den Vereinigten Staaten. Meine Familie stammte aus Neuenburg, Deidesheim und München. They immigrated to the United States in the 1890s, so we've been here for several generations now, but I still have family in Germany. I also invested in the 25mm lens (Panasonic H-H025k with f/1.7 ASPH). This lens is great for closeups with razor sharp focus on the point of interest and a blurred background. It that's what you're looking for then this lens will be good. Have a great day!
@@eRay_b80 Mükemmel! Merhaba nasılsın? That's about the end of my turkish other than about 100 vocabulary words. My Uncle is from Izmir and I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to travel the western coast of Turkey before things got a little crazy there.
Wow, it’s more than enough, I didn’t expect that you even know some Turkish ☺️ sağol ben çok iyiyim, sen nasılsın? Hey jay if you ever save up enough for a camera I highly recommend the canon 90D for blogging it’s a mid range professional camera for the things you do on your camera it’s an awesome camera many would recommend as I do. Try to get it with the 18-105mm kit lense. It does 4k uncroppped video for up to 2 hours amd has 31.4 MP I use it for all my photography on my Instagram and it’s great to use
That's awesome and thanks for the advice! This past year I ended up getting the Sony A7III with the Sony G Lens ( FE 2.8 / 16-35mm), which has been amazing so far. I still have so much to learn about this camera.
Jason Blankenship if you’re hiking and not carrying a laptop, I imagine the laptop sleeve would be a good space for your hydration bladder. It would be easy to run the tube out and secure the tube over one of the shoulder straps.
I just tried. I have a 15" laptop and a standard size ipad. I'm able to fit them if I stack them. There isn't enough space to place them flat next to each other, but definitely enough room if you stack them. I hope that helps!
Haha, a short hike. That's a 10" lens? It can fit in the bag, but might require some organizing skills. You're either going to need the vertical or horizontal length of top or bottom compartment.
I’ve used it for almost a year now and it’s held up well!! There are so many little compartments that I’m still trying to figure out the ideal configuration for my gear but that’s a different story. Lol. Have a great day!
It's a pretty spacious backpack. If you dedicate to your DSLR stuff, there's plenty of room. Most of the time I have the camera body, two lenses, and a rode microphone in the top, my drone stuff in the bottom, and go pro stuff in pockets.
Nice!!! Yes, I’m a Jags fan but Giants fan first. Fortunately one is NFC and the other is AFC. I really hope they play this fall but it’s not looking good right now. We’ll see!! Are you a photographer?

A very well done video. Have you noticed any noise from the back when hiking?
Thanks! Any noise from the backpack? No, it's pretty quiet. I have taken it all over the world since I made this video, and it's held up really well.
Hi Jay, does this bag have a removable divider between the top and bottom sections?
Yes, the divider between the two compartments is velcroed to the bag, and can be removed. Have a great day!

Here is a tip. Have a separate device for sound so you dont run into that gimbal issue
