How is Justin Timberlake a follower?
Back then Usher was being asked, a lot, if he felt like Justin Timberlake was taking his place in music. Usher is saying that if you are saying that Justin Timberlake is taking his spot you are putting Justin Timberlake in the position of a follower of Usher. Usher is saying that he is in his own category and his own lane and Justin should be in his own lane if Justin is taking the spot of another artist that makes him a follower. Kinda like saying who's going to be the next Michael Jackson. No one can be the next Michael Jackson, they will either make their own way or be an imitator. That is what Asher is saying when they say that Justin Timberlake is the new Usher but they really are saying is Justin as a follower and Usher thinks they shouldn't be saying that.
