This literally brought me to tears because I have a lot of weight to lose and for 2 weeks of the month I’m pretty good with self control then the next 2 weeks- yes! 2 WEEKS it’s all down hill. It’s so disheartening! Thank you for shedding light on this and giving me a better understanding. God bless you for sharing your wisdom, thank you 😊

Sounds like a good appetite suppressant would greatly benefit you. I remember those tigerous cravings! Can you imagine having those until your period stops, later in life? Believe me, get yourself a good appetite suppressant because that type of craving cannot even be measured for a human which is why I used the word, "Tigerous." Good luck.

Eat sushi or eat baked salmon with rice, and please don’t eat anything with too much sodium or please don’t eat too much sugar. It makes things worse. If you’re going to have something sweet, eat fruits

So what you’re saying is no matter what you do you won’t lose weight while you’re on your period or PMS. Because I’m currently PMSing and DRY FASTING. And I’m barely losing weight despite not eating or drinking anything. Also once my period is over I should lose all the weight I was supposed during my PMS and period right?

@@Qyeenz Oh, trust me you will be amazingly surprised at how much you will come down once your period hits. I freaking hate this time of the month! Funny thing is no matter how many times each month we go through this, we always question it when it happens because it's so severe.

PCOS is another vital topic. There’s a mistaken belief it always involves Polycystic Ovaries. And it doesn’t. That is only one sub-type. PCOS women have 30x (yes, thirty times) the risk of Sleep Apnea - which boosts Insulin Resistance. I was just recently diagnosed at age 48. Metformin has been a godsend. Results: I can exercise again (Hyperinsulinemia was making my glucose hard to use), and my Carb Cravings have disappeared. My Insulin has dropped from 385 to 92 in 3 months. NB One assumption by the medical field is that ‘Obesity creates Insulin Resistance (IR)’. After my Metformin experience, I believe that it is actually ‘IR that drives Obesity’ (via carb craving and chronic fatigue bc the body cannot use the glucose we have... in Hyperinsulinemia, the Insulin is stuck in the blood and not pushing the Glucose into the cells for energy use.

I thought to myself pmdd will not rob me this month so as soon as I got symptoms I went out to get omega 3 pills and there is a great improvement this cycle. I’v never suffered with this noticeably, only recently due to weight gain it feels very pronounced. It’s horrid, I spent a good 10-12 days under a dark cloud every month. That’s like half a month/ half the year. A horrible thing to go through.

    • @moniquemejia4473

Has this been working for you? The omega 3 pills? With food cravings? Right after I ovulate I gain with and crave so much food and lack of energy to workout. Even with a hike I gain weight! I gained 3 pounds over night and I have a feeling I’m going to gain more no later what I do and this is 2 weeks before my period. It’s awful.

    • @Marni.B

@@moniquemejia4473 Yes but I took them bcos of my mood, and because I am overweight I can’t absorb much in the way of nutrients so I should take supplements. The food cravings was a result of body trying to produce serotonin and the easiest way to do that is through eating sugar so I had to find a way for me to get serotonin in a healthier way hence why I use the omega 3 capsules. For me I’m trying to lose weight aswell and eating healthily and cutting sugar and fats help a lot for the pmdd symptoms. Hope this helps.

Right..was gonna watch this video but once I see the meds recommendations. I literally stopped myself. Btw you can prevent such weight gain and bloating naturally during ur menstrual cycle, before and durning by eating a lot of potassium foods to balance sodium and potassium level which is the main goal here (avocado, citrus foods, asparagus, dates, prunes, broccoli & spinach) drink lots of water, eat lots of fiber, eat no to little salt (best to avoid it), eat healthy fats (avacado, wild caught salmon) etc. weight gain happens during luteal phase of the the menst cycle. Ppl tend to gain weight 7-10 days before their period. Me personally, weight gain happens 1-2 weeks before and after my period ends. I guess using these strategies would help either before and after your menstrual cycle. Btw information is not form me..I give all the info and credit to RUclipsr, “cyclic coach academy” she’s an exercise scientist and menstrual cyclic educator.

After watching this, I think my doctor and I should have a talk because the awful pain in my knee is a constant fight to having a balanced life. Meaning, a balanced diet along with exercise. Thank you so much Doctor for this video. Sometimes it's hard for me to admit that, I may be defeated. And having one of my own body parts working against me is a fight within myself...so insane. Going to have that talk.

I have enjoyed most of your videos but I needed to correct you on your statement about buproprion. It is an antidepressant but it is not an SSRI and does not raise serotonin.
Bupropion, or Wellbutrin, is different. It is a norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor (NDRI).
An NDRI boosts levels of the neurotransmitters norepinephrine, also known as noradrenaline, and dopamine.
