Thank you for the excellent work. The Pigeon River Gorge is so beautiful; I love that drive. I'm wondering if the section of I-40 that needs to be rebuilt after the extensive damage caused by hurricane Helene would make a good place for a safe passage. It would be an opportune time to consider that, as I'm sure you already have.

Crowdsourced projects: iNaturalist wildlife observations - photos and audio. OpenStreetMap (OSM) mapping project, associated Mapillary or KartaView street-level images (ground-truth to supplement older OSM satellite image sets) - manual or automated sequences (walking, biking, riding / driving) via smartphone app, GoPros, pro 360-deg. GPS camera rigs. (Some state DOTs contribute highway image sequences to Mapillary/OSM.)
