I can hear a guy with a great concept in sound (Jody) I'm sure while'st running a busy mouthpiece making company. He doesn't have time to be practicing as much as most cats. In saying that his chops are still there and he sounds great. Please, look at the positive and realistic side.
I’m not gonna lie, that this recording was jive, but some of the ideas that he had did sound alright. I just think the the “in your face” playing complete with the growling and exaggerated articulations made his performance worse than it should’ve been. In my opinion, the way that he played does not match the style of the head of the song.
