    We have had a 16 stall Kempower charging station, in my little hometown in the south of Sweden,
    for over 3 years now, and not one stall have failed so far.
    Very nice to be assured that your not going to freeze to death because of failing chargers. 👍‍‍🌟👍‍‍

      It’s super important to have chargers you can trust in the cold. We experienced a really cold (-38 celsius) period last winter here in Finland and the Kempower chargers worked as usual.

    The EV6 probably had a DC fast charge limit set to 80% (or even 90%). As such, it wasn't going to charge since it was already at 93%. I have mine set to 80% for DC Fast chargers, and will go up to 100% on my home level 2 charge station (depending on my needs).

      One major drawback with the new solid-state batteries, is the swelling of the battery during charging and ultimately the degradation of the cell after extensive recharging, however lithium is a very toxic metal for the environment, not many countries want to mine it, 98% of lithium is not recycled and goes in to land fills or dumps, causing even worst toxins in peoples water canals, it is way cheaper to mine lithium than recycle it , as people have been blind sided by the truth about the horrible environmental damage and have been fooled into this clean technology myth, the huge amount of lithium used to make just one lithium car is not sustainable for all cars, lithium is a water guzzling toxic metal, it takes 1000 gallons of clean water turned very toxic just to mine or build one lithium car(just one)this is just lithium and not including cobalt which is another of many other real toxic metals in the build of a lithium toxic car (horrible) on top of this, most lithium cars are still connected to the oil and coal grids! clean EV car, Not!

    In BC we have already 6 Hybrid Ferries, BC Ferries is now looking at installing DC charging at each Terminal to go from Hybrid deisel/ battery electric to all electric. I hope they use inductive charging like they do in Norway, so safe, easy and super reliable in the salt water environment, I wonder if Kempower he a high power inductive solution to BC Ferries.

      will say BC is rocking the EV transition and the BC Hydro fast chargers on the TransCanada EVERYWHERE last September was great to see

      @@gatoleblanc8432 To bad you believe all this fossil fuel fud as now more is actually extracted from salt lakes. Now the mess that the oil and gas is continuing to do, I will not even go into it far far worse than EV manufacturing. My dad worked for Shell, Texaco, & Imperial Oil on shore and off shore and it is bull carp to believe that is not environmentally damaging. Just take a look at the Oil Sands total mess in North Alberta with their tailing settling pond (now the largest man made toxic lake on the planet).

    • @jasonriddell
      @jasonriddell 18 дней назад

      doubt vert much at all as lots of the NEVI funded sites are in motion already and on investment it MAKES financial sense to invest in "renewables + battery" over "drill baby drill" and like stated the FLEET side is going to convert for FUEL costs alone and dropping battery prices will keep EV prices and storage prices falling all while the ICE car market GLOBALLY keeps getting smaller and more ICE car companies RAISE car prices like what HAS HAPPENED in Europe

    Kempower and Alpitronics are the best chargers out there alongside Tesla. We need to get those ABB and Delta and Signets (which are basically all the unreliable, crappy chargers EA uses) out of here.
    And Tritium just went under and ChargePoints are not much better. I hope small, local providers start using Kempower rather than unreliable ChargePoint chargers from now on in North America.

    • @jasonriddell
      @jasonriddell 18 дней назад +1

      assume 2025 will see ZERO change as those CPO sites are already moving along 2026 and beyond likely SOME wont go ahead OR will scale back some but sites that have a GOOD core business case will move ahead anyways and fleet likely WONT change much as fuel costs are a MAJOR expense for fleet operations WAY HIGHER then "capital" expense
      places like Canada without NEVI funding the MARKET is figuring it out where it makes financial sense (we have higher EV adoption rates)

    There is apparently a backlog on transformers worldwide which is causing problems. The ramping of electrification around the world has probably created this problem as the manufacturing capacity is not there. The higher the voltage the bigger the problem is AFAIK. So the TSOs have some problems getting the big transformers and have to plan years in advance to order them.

    If charging cars is going to work the nerd stats is pointless. They need to work like gas pumps. You hookup and get the same energy flow. Until then it’s all beta testing as it won’t scale to world or country wide. These are all steps in the wrong direction. We need a battery tech that is car ready. Investing money in charging today’s battery tech is a giant waste of money and resources.
    The cheapest used ice car takes in energy as fast a GMA t50. If you have charging speeds varying by quality of vehicle it’s doomed to fail….
