Hey JL I’ve been an IC with Schneider for almost 3 years now. The learning curve is real. It will get better sir. Quick tip on searching the board. Let’s say you need a load for the 19th. Move your date range to the 18th through the 20th. Then search a 500 mile radius and sort it by total rate per mile down arrow. That will show you the highest RPM after the deadhead. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the advice 👍 I’ll be doing that. I appreciate you for taking the time to comment, and give tips about the load board. Take care be safe out there!!
I was a iC for 10yrs at Schneider 2 completed leases 3 one I had to giv truck back. Freight was just not there. I loved it there hurt my feelings I had to leave. It use to be no problem a load cancel it was easy to fill it in with new load. Now if you get a cancelation its a disaster your whole week will be gone and don't let it be a Thur r Fri when all the good loads gone or the good loads deliver 4-5 days after pik up I suggest rite now dont jump in a lease. I plan on coming back I have a truck paid off from SFI had some def issues that messed me up
Hey sir, would you recommend Schneider over super? Ego, I'm a getting ready to pull the trigger and Would love to hear your opinion?I watch a lot of your videos
Yes 3000 a few times maybe couple of time 4000 and on the ok weeks 1200 1300 after all expenses.. check out my last video you will see a few more settlements and some weeks that l didn’t drive much and still got a few dollars..
Is it better to go with the 65% or the actual amount your going to make? I know the lease has 2 programs. I’m getting my truck in a few days so before I fly to Charlotte, North Carolina just wanted to see what your opinion is on the 2 programs on how you get paid.
I only done the All - revenue to my understanding is that the fuel surcharge on every load it’s already included and on the percentage board the fuel surcharge not included. So you will have to do all the math they do give you the numbers for the fuel surcharge that each load. The all in revenue board does everything for you gives you the deadhead Miles and loaded Miles that you will be driving , supposedly they are more loads on the All in a revenue then the percentage board at least that’s what they say don’t know how true that is. Hopefully this helps you out. There are other drivers on RUclips that explain this a little better but you would have to look for them a few years ago.
Yes you can change back to company but usually Schneider’s policy is to wait at least 3 to 6 months and if you’re in the lease there’s also penalty fees you will acquire so there’s also that to think . But then again every case is different. Thanks for watching the video and comments..
Much encouragement and good luck with the new experiences. I'm a company now with Schn and I've thought about obtaining information about being leased to own. Over time, it's good to know about the experiences. THK
Heyyyy man this is Jacob me and my mom were in orientation behind you. You helped her out with some questions idk if you remember. Sorry to hear it’s not going super well. We didn’t get a SFI truck so we doing ok lol
Hey Jacob yes I remember you guys yeah it’s been a little bit rough and busy trying to figure out how to make it work. Glad to hear you guys are doing good.Thank you for your support and watching the videos. Be safe out there and see you on the road 👋
I used some of your videos in Spanish last year so my wife could understand what I was getting into getting my CDL. Now I'm looking at leasing onto Schneider, probably go SFI. I'm tanker, not van and trying to weigh the pros and cons.
It’s not that hard it all depends how much money you need to take home . you could pick a load or two and that’s it for the truck then comes fuel and the money you need for your household.
@@truckingwithjl7826 okay thanks so much so quick question, I have 9 months exp driving locally I’m currently 21 years old and never ever been over state lines, I have never seen a different state in a semi truck and I got accepted to sfi and Schneider as my broker so k can use there load board do you think it’s a bad idea for me to go over the road so soon? Without a trainer or no over the road exp? Or do you think I’ll be okay? I never had to use a eld so that’ll be new and I never drove down mountains which I know use the Jake break and tap the breaks don’t hold on them. Also as well to I’ll need to know how to slide the tandems. Do you think it’ll be a smart idea for me to go all in? Or not without having no over road exp even though I got accepted?
I was also a local driver up north Jersey Pennsylvania, upstate New York they do have some mountains so I did have a little bit experience but with these new trucks automatic with brakes and Jake they pretty much do everything for you. I’ll say just take it easy going down the mountains but it’s possible you could do it, and here is Schneider you could pick the loads and try to avoid at least in the beginning avoid mountains . If you want to shoot me an email and we could talk over the phone a little bit and give you a few tips or advice. My email address is.truckingwithjl@outlook.com the main thing I will say is being careful with heavy loads going down mountains, the other main thing is trip planning the ELD pretty much tells you everything gives you the hours when you have to stop it’s not that hard and there’s videos out there in RUclips that you could look at prior to coming to Schneider if you do come to Schneider and by the way, thanks for watching the videos and comments be safe out there. Take care God bless
Another thing I could tell you is remember over the road means you’ll be out longer you won’t be going home every day like a local job so you’ll be 1 to 2 weeks out and also that all depends where you live if you live in a good area with lots of loads that you could come back home every weekend that would be great. For example, I live in Florida, and Florida is not the greatest state for picking up loads From Florida going to Florida it’s good but coming out is bad also right now the freight is not as great like it was a few years ago the money is there but it’s not like it was a few years back
Hey brother. Hang in there. Learning lanes and booking lanes can be tricky. Takes time. Nobody comes in this industry knowing the whole perfect blue print. Trial and error. Especially these times. Sometimes things are out of our control. Even thou were the ones behind the wheel. You just stay focused and safe. The bumps will smooth out. But they will be some. That’s without a doubt.
Don’t think you can’t dead head to get a load , just figure you loaded miles and you dead miles and divided that by the pay for load and see if it’s worth it.

How are you doing with them nowadays?
@@Rotc-jumper311 rates are in the tank. Even for contract freight. Still money to be made here, it’s just more difficult.

I heard the market was brutal which is why I haven’t pulled the trigger to be an IC.
You’ll forever hear that about the market. You’ve gotta jump out on your own because their stories ain’t yours.
Hey sir, would you recommend Schneider over super? Ego, I'm a getting ready to pull the trigger and Would love to hear your opinion?I watch a lot of your videos
I don’t no much about super Ego only what I seen on You Tube. I think Schneider works with, you so far I have been ok here but it could be better.
No aguites amigo todo va estar bien los chavos van llegar
Hey, thanks for sharing your experience.
Did you say, you took home about $3000 after all deductions.
Yes 3000 a few times maybe couple of time 4000 and on the ok weeks 1200 1300 after all expenses.. check out my last video you will see a few more settlements and some weeks that l didn’t drive much and still got a few dollars..

can you go back company? if you don’t like the owner operator side

How hard is it to make the truck payments?

Do they have flatbed?
The flatbed work that they have is mainly for company drivers. They did have temporary work for owner operator pulling PODS but that’s about it.
@truckingwithjl7826 ok ok bet bro I appreciate the info! Stay safe out here! 💯🙏🏽
You hang in there it will get better
