Also, I don't know if you take requests but can you make a video about the concept of the 4th album curse? It was part of the discussion on stan twitter before and the concept is about when an artist release their 4th studio album but it either goes commercially unsuccessful, they get scrutinized by the general public/bad public image during the album rollout or a combination of both. Great examples are Beyonce's 4 (commercially unsuccessful compared to her other works), Katy Perry's Witness (we all know how MESSY that era was), Nicki Minaj's Queen (flop + the hate train) and Ariana's sweetener (tho somehow successful, her public image at that time was bad due to her relationship with pete and the death of mac miller)

It’s hard to believe that the 2009 VMA’s was 15 years ago. I think people often forget that Lil Mama was 19 years old when she did that. NINETEEN. A baby. It was an impulsive decision, and she has apologized numerous times for it. Yes, was her going up on stage awkward? Of course, especially watching it in real time. And I’m sure she’s extremely embarrassed that she did it, but she truly didn’t mean to be disrespectful - she simply got caught up in the moment and made an unwise decision. It made for a huge pop culture moment, and it was definitely meme worthy. Looking back, it’s actually hilarious! Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I hate that people still criticize Lil Mama about it.
Nicki was so damn bitter over other artists getting nominated, but when she wins an award she still manages to ruin her own moment. She is her own worst enemy.
Lil Mama was a whole child y'all 😂😂😂😂😂😂 let it go!!!!!!!!! I feel like Jay and Alicia should have been alot cooler AFTER the fact. Compared to them she was a kid and they should have chalked it up to such ... And let's be real, that makes us actually remember the performance. Nobody goes back to watch that performance because they really wanna hear the song🤣
Knowing that Kanye is bipolar explains a lot of his outburst which I now see as manic episodes. That in no way justifies his inappropriate behavior but I see how his disorder has manifested in his scandals.
I appreciate this perspective from you about the miley and nicki situation! i do think it was taken out of context because if you know miley, she’s always been down and respectful and have genuinely apologized about the comments. I do think she just spoke and really thought her white privilege would save her. i love me some miley. but this vid gave me a different outlook! however, you are right with how nicki handled this- it made her *cringe* and all points were missed!
Without the messiness we wouldn't be talking about these moments' decades later, that's for sure. "I'm a fan of real pop culture" too lol In that these incidents gave the pop culture of the time, some context. Sure it was messy, but there are some real issues in there that created discussion. I know they're Artists crashing other Artists, but my mind always went to 'Oh this is so staged', I guess security wouldn't intervene in these cases.

I can't stop laughing about the Prince vs Kim Kardashian situation. His sass made my day when it happened! Also, I will never get tired of Fergie's cringey moments. Thanks for reminding me of these again. 😂
The way I was ctfu at the Lil Mama bit and Fergie flipping on stage is embarrassing 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 what is Fergie on?!??!?!?!
Isn't Fergie a legit alcoholic?
@@ruminationstation4200 I just know she used to be a crystal meth addict
Enjoyed watching this video
SKSKDKS YES PLZ WE NEED A PART 2 😂😂😂
Damn that was all in the same night?! That was an interesting award show and I watched it in real time, but I didn’t til this day realize they were both in the same night. Wow! 🤣🤣
kanye was so wrong for that, taylor was still new and that was so embarrassing for her
Good job! Eloquently spoken
thank u!!
21:08 this clip fucking kills me everytime😭😭😭love the video!!💜
OMG!!! I remember seeing Kanye when he arrived at the show with that Hennessy bottle in his hand! I knew then it was gonna be an interesting night and this was not long after Donda passed. I remember saying “no Kanye Noooooo!!!!” 🤣🤣🤦🏾♀️
PLEASE MAKE THAT VIDEO!!!
I don't care, the whole MILEY, WHAT'S GOOD?? moment gives me such secondhand embarrassment.
It’s sooooo cringe
She thought she was all big and bad shouting it from across the stage, I like to see her do that when she is 2 feet away from that person, backstage.
“America’s hottest alleged cannibal . . . “ 😆
The fact that Miley thought they were trying to make her nicki is crazy lol
Love this
"Considering the singing that Fergie has subjected us to over the years I thinks that's a pretty bold statement coming from her." then proceeds to horrify us with an atrocious clip of Fergie hollering and doing gymnastics on stage 😂😂😭😭
6:23 “but hell nah man” that part was so funny 😂
Lmao Kanye is such a drama king but he’s funny at times.
Miley inserting herself in topics that dont affect her, calls black music Hoos music and stands on stage with faux locs because she's yet another culture vulture who wore a black look to gain popularity. And where is she now.....yet Nicki just dropped another hit
Miley is unfortunately also doing super well in her career, and still appears to show no reflection on the offensive cultural appropriation years. She doesn't seem to have much malice in her bones, but she also doesn't seem to have an ounce of sense in her head and absolutely zero self awareness. Dangerous combo for a sheltered celebrity.
Exactly I haven’t heard much about Mikey music lately but her career didn’t take a huge hit and people still think Nicki was in the wrong
Perdue chicken always gets me 😭😭😭😭😭
Lakeith Stanfield getting on that stage was the most Darius thing he could’ve done💀
I had to reread the lil mama part 😂😂😂
Sorry the Kanye and Taylor incident is literally the meme of all memes! 🙃😭
Tf was that fergie monent?? 😂
Kinda cool, you can still hear that she has a nice voice..it was just weird to somersault
Your videos are great & interesting. Can you do a video on you think Netflix & other companies are under fire & losing money..?? Netflix is said to not be doing well. Keep em coming..!! Much love & peace. Having a wonderful afternoon.
Thanks..!!
Honestly, you're right. I never knew what happened between Miley and Nicki, but for some reason Nicki became the bad girl in that situation.
The way you shaded fergie 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nicki was so damn bitter over other artists getting nominated, but when she wins an award she still manages to ruin her own moment. She is her own worst enemy.
Getting heated over a VMA is nuts
"or used to watch" 😂
Not used to watch award shows 🤣
and yes unscripted celeb moments!!😂
Kanye was lame for what he did to Taylor but they both milked that vma moment way to long
9:32 HE WAS RIGHT THO 😭😭😭😭😭
Fergie looks drunk or high💀
Vmas 2009 was just something else. Too much sht happened 😂😂😂😂
i feel like everyone misunderstood lil mama everytime she spoke about the incident
Beyonce had the most stressful night in 2009 lol 😂 omg
Without the messiness we wouldn't be talking about these moments' decades later, that's for sure. "I'm a fan of real pop culture" too lol In that these incidents gave the pop culture of the time, some context. Sure it was messy, but there are some real issues in there that created discussion. I know they're Artists crashing other Artists, but my mind always went to 'Oh this is so staged', I guess security wouldn't intervene in these cases.
Lol my fave Shakira was actually giving the award to Taylor Swift 🤣🤣
lil mama trying to drag beyonce onto the stage w her is so fucking funny
Man. I had to skip completely over Fergie. So much secondhand embarrassment.
If Beyonce wins video of the year, how she is going to lose for best female video of the year, that doesn't make sense.
Exactly!!! But thats white privilege
still makes no sense. if you win something "of the year" then you need to win in every other category you're nominated in.
Kenya said something about it! It was one of the best videos of all times though!
I just wish Nicky would’ve had that kind of attitude with Lil Kim or Cardi B! The B knows who to F with! And Kanye should’ve done it to someone like Pink, see how that went !
not America's hottest alleged Canibal 🤣💀 a mess!
I think miley handled herself well when nicki heckled her
Oh Nicki SPILLED on Miley.... I was never a fan of her bangerz era
Yeah, I feel like miley is very problematic and attention-seeking. Her bangerz era was so "privileged girl wants a new adult look so she puts on a black costume."
