    Through those thick bezels Asus seems to be mocking those people that are on a low budget for laptops.🙁😕

    Reminds me of those toy laptops they used to sell on Naaptol.

    • @SoCalKevin
      @SoCalKevin 2 года назад

      This is a laptop made for children. You would be extremely foolish to give a child a laptop with a thin bezel because it's the first thing they will break in short order. As an adult you should know better.
      The thicker bezel adds rigidity to the whole laptop so that a child doesn't crack the screen or a hinge just from opening the laptop from one corner. It also allows the screen to survive a drop from desk height, which happens more often than you'd think.
      Kids carry these in their backpacks which get tossed around. When they get their first laptop, most of them do not understand how fragile these things are, so they need to be designed for extra durability.

      @@SoCalKevin There's no mention of children anywhere. Though your points are totally agreeable if considered for children.👍🏼😃

      @@SB9426Plays this BR1100 model laptop, along with the Lenovo 300e series are made specifically for the gradeschool education market. That's why they come with "Windows Pro Education" version. I agree the bezels are very thick but that's a huge benefit for their intended audience.
      Schools would never be able to keep up with screen replacements if they chose a different product that had thin bezels. Even with the Lenovo 300e series 1st gen, students had huge screen problems because there were some gaps behind the screen up near the camera. Students would go to open the screen and put their thumb right through the screen 😆. That kept school IT staff very busy, and caused a lot of problems for students who had to wait weeks to get replacement parts for their laptops.

If the Covid restrictions in Kunshan are not eased it might be end of 2022 or early 2023 before 12th gen stuff shows up. Another reason is Lenovo's after sales service experience/presence is kinda of mid-tier while Dell takes the first slot in comparison. MSI and Asus have even more scantier service presence. Here's my take on laptops these days: Laptops under extreme budget friendly segment, i.e. less than 40k, one should prefer windows laptop ( no choice). But if, one is buying laptop near 60k-70k, I would say, expand ur budget and go for apple macs ( MacBook air ). Simple reason: Over a course of 4-5 years, MacBook air ( with M1) will prove more less expensive then a windows laptop. Plus, user experience in macs is simply better than windows laptop. One more thing, for those who are purchasing gaming laptop: Plz dont buy them. These laptops have poor battery life, poor display, are extremely heavy, poor portability, and more cost-cutting. Prefer thin and light laptops like macs/ASUS vivobook etc. If you want to do gaming buy console in addition to a laptop. U will get best of both world.

      I respectfully disagree. Macs don't fulfil the needs of everything at all. I had a budget of 90k, could have got Mac, but the software incompatibilities are huge. Good only for some coding and office work and FinalCut. Softwares like Ansys, Autodesk don't work on Mac, neither do games. I bought a Asus Zephyrus M15, and is 1.9kg thin and light. Has Type C PD with thunderbolt, has headphone jack, 3 USB3 ports, i7-10750H is nice for plenty of things, got GTX1660ti, and can play 100fps games. Display is 99% sRGB, 240Hz. 2 TB SSD expansion, 16GB RAM expandable to 24. I keep laptop plugged in, so battery is not an issue for the most part, and if i need battery for light tasks, then it can last 4.5 hours. Can't ask for anything more, only drawback being that it can get hot on demanding tasks, but its designed for that.

      No. Big no. Celeron is low performance. It can't run those basic tasks. Go with an older i3 or ryzen 3 at this price.

    Samsung Galaxy A23 6 GB + 128 GB variant is a great downgrade compared to Galaxy A31.
    When my fathers A31 got pickpocketed i had to replace his mobile with something new.
    The serious issues with the A23 is -
    A) Bad front camera - 8 MP with noisy image
    B) screen is FHD + (1080 × 2408) but shooting 30 FPS 4K videos possible
    C) price is higher than expected. 19500 is too much.
    D) rear camera is also not great.......and images seem to be more noisy.
    Please review this phone asap.

    This is what I don't like people doing marketing for a brand and misguiding young people... There are others brands in the market... Either change the caption or say Laptops for student from Asus. This is pathetic!!!

  • @abhijeet1in
    @abhijeet1in 2 года назад +1

    A bit more detail on the screen would have been useful. Though, in all certainty it looks like a TN panel, which is really bad for your eyes in long run. If the screen was a bit better it could have been a good secondary linux machine/light coding machine for many.
    As others have mentioned, this is quite overpriced. Just compare it to the upcoming MiPad5 which has hardware probably a few times better than this at a lower price. The premium this laptop is charging for being able to run windows is ridiculous. Also, why have rugged laptops only for children, not for everyone?
    Realistically a better option would be to find & buy a 5-6 years old Thinkpad for similar price, do some cleaning, repasting & give it to your kids, if needed.
